You're an addict, you're an addict... there is no replacements... they are infact drugs, no matter which way you look at it you're going to have a dependency. I am in the middle of a relapse myself with alcohol and other substances.

Have you tried seeking a support group? NA and AA are excellent support groups, find a sponsor and work the steps. It works for a lot of people, I have met some awesome people with a lot of clean time from these meetings.

hey bud we all stumble at times but dont worry keep focused on the ones that matter the most to you in your life now and never never lose that focus because if you do you could loose what matters the most and you might not ever get back what might be lost. i am not just saying this to say it i am saying this as some one who is your friend and as someone who cares i have seen first hand in my life what drinking can do i dont ever want to see that happen to any one!!!! so head up keep focus stay strong and i am here if ya need anything :P

Some people are better off staying away from alcohol completely. I can relate from the cigarette habit. It's hard being moderate with use. You'll start off with great intentions, and do pretty well with it, but one thing leads to another... and there you are going full bore again :^/

You know you better than anyone else does, just be careful man :^)

I wanted to run lxskllr’s advice back out there. I think it is by far the best I have read thus far (this is not a slight against the other posts. I just think lxskllr put what so many others have said in a compact and concise manner).

Remember, there is only one lord of the ring and he does not share power.

In other words, be very careful trying to manage something that seeks only to master you.
