I hate that whole nonsense about appealing to children. Certainly some products, especially those developed by R.J. Reynolds may appeal to children, but lets not act like older people don't still find such products appealing. Big breasts, for example, are things found attractive by both teenagers and older men (excuse me). Just because the younger ones may have more fun with them doesn't mean the older ones don't still respect them. That was a terrible analogy, but my point was that even older people can love decoration.

So even if a tobacco company uses "fancy" colors and creative designs, they aren't necessarily targeted children. And if they were, you most likely can't prove it anyway. Maybe parents should just be responsible and inform their kids instead of targeting perfectly legitimate companies.

I'm 18 and prefer naturally flavored snus. My favorite brands are (in no particular order): Ettan Los, General, Lucky Strike, Retro, Thunder Original, and Roda Lacket Los.

Even though General and Roda Lacket have subtle flavors, the tobacco flavor is prominent.

I started smoking when I was 14 and smoked non-menthol varieties until I was 18. Flavored cigarettes never appealed to me. The whole notion that flavored tobacco attracts kids is BS. Most underage smokers buy Marlboro Reds and Lights (from what I've seen).

L&M is very popular here. I smoked all different reds, marlboro, smart camel etc.

20 years old and I hate snus with freaky flavours.

I got a hold of some dipp that a friend had brought back from the US.
one with apple and the other with sitrus.
OOUGH! it was terrible, tasted like fizzy candy powder.

guess you americans have your sweet tooth.

I'm 26. I like the natural flavors the most. But gotta try them all.

I'm 21, and surprisingly didn't actually start smoking cigarettes until I was over 18. As for flavoring, I always have been and always will be a sucker for minty anything, it's just that simple, other than my beloved thunder I like a good nick and johnny portion or some skruf. But overall I still like both flavored or the pure-ish tobacco taste.

I'm 26 and a soon to be ex smoker. I started smoking Marlboro lights at about 15. Switched to menthol of several different brands. Last one was Newport. I am a sucker for sweet stuff. I love winter green and fruity flavors simply bc it also helps me not crave snacks and candy as much. I get my nic and sweet tooth all in one nice lil portion. I do like some natural flavors or "non" flavored tobacco products but not many.

I agree that it's silly to assume a kid is gonna smoke Just bc of colors and flavors. Most of the time it's peer/social pressure of some form.

I'm 23 and am still exploring snus. So far, I tend to lean towards slight flavors--Vertigo (r.i.p.), Gotlands green, and Goteborgs Rape no.2 are what I remember being my faves. On the other hand, I really liked N & J as well as Lucky Strike...

I think justintempler made a good point by mentioning women--I would think that chicks would go more more flavored (aka, "girly") varieties. I mean, remember Vertigo?! Girly, flavored snus targeted at women! Go figure.

Was that the one in the maroon "hourglass" can? If so I ordered some for my girl once. Too bad she never took to snus. That stuff was bad though. I do still have two cans of mocca pomegranate that I ordered for her in the freezer almost a year ago. I don't count those among my dwindling stash but it's almost time to rethink that... at least not for a week! Go buysnus go...

Yes, that's Vertigo exactly! Meh, maybe it's my girly tastes, but I thought those were pretty nice. Very, very candy-like, but without the sickening artificial sweetener of Camel snus. :P

I'm not a big fan of fruit flavored snus, but I thought the Vertigo wasn't bad. It was much better than the Catch cassis menthol. Not a snus I'd buy more than once(lucky me, eh? :^D), but a decent effort, and the tin was pretty nifty.

Oh No! Its Cassis that is leftover in my freezer, not pomegranate. Not sure how much it matters, but either way situation = critical!

I fall in two categories, age-wise. Which one should I choose?

Besides of that, 40 and more and more prefering unflavored or traditionally flavored snus. I use chewing tobacco regularly though, to pacify my sweet tooth.

                            Cheers!

36 and I like the tobacco flavored ones the best. Does bergamot, smoke, rose oil, count as flavored snus? If so I may like the flavored too.

Im not really big on what I consider the flavored ones like mint, catch etc but they are ok.

Edit: When I say that I am not big on them, I do like them but I just dont like them all day long.

Crap, 10 types? When I first used dip, you had a choice of Copenhagen, Skoal, Happy Days mint, and Happy Days Raspberry. I used the Skoal, and carry a hatred of wintergreen and tobacco to this day :^D
Do they still make Happy Days? I havent thought about that in a long time.
