Bill Hicks, my favorite stand up comedian, had his last segment on David Letterman's show on October 1st, 1993 cut, arguably because some of the commercials clashed with his material. He died of pancreatic cancer a year later.

The new Jim Jefferies Comedy special that premiered on HBO last weekend was hysterical. It's definitely worth looking up some of his work. Can't think of any others right now.

Brian Regan and Bill Burr are my all-time faves. Zach Galifianakis is also very funny, from the newer stock.

Bill Burr is probably my favorite. He is like no one I've seen before. Very charismatic. You can even check out his 'Monday Morning Podcast' at his website billburr.com. great stuff. Besides him, George Carlin is excellent.

Although many vehemently hate his act, Dane Cook is pretty good as well.

I love Ron White! I just wish he hadn't joined up with those hacks on the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. He is by far the most talented comic on that tour! His material never fails to make me laugh until my abs hurt!
