About a year ago I found Camel snus at a mom-and-pop gas station and was ecstatic! I was still smoking at the time and Camel snus did not end my nicotine cravings. Then, Triumph snus came out and I purchased about 20 cans of it because it was only $1.49 per can. The taste was too sweet and did not compliment the taste of beer, so I continued to smoke while Triumph snus collected dust in my freezer. Then, I remembered reading about Swedish snus and decided to order the real stuff. I ordered 1 can of Nick and Johnny and Skruf Stark each. Then something magic happened. Instead of smoking a cigarette in the morning, I just popped in a pouch. That anxious, nicotine-induced craving was gone. I went through the cans pretty quick and ordered several more off the internet. Snus saved my lungs!

Camel Frost. First Swedish snus was General Mint Mini. After the talk of a regular portion of snus having more nicotine than a cigarette, I was kind of worried about feeling shitty after using it. And I did when I moved on to General white, but I got used to the stuff pretty quickly.

Klondike wintergreen from my local tobacco shop was my first. Then Camel Frost. My first real order it was Ettan los. And the rest is history. My favorite is probably OR Cranberry right now, and anything General, but there are so many I love it's too much to list.

My first was General. Living in Ireland, and went to Sweden in 2007 for work, most of the locals we met were using it. I had already booked a trip a few months later to go back home to Australia for a few weeks, so in order to try and soothe the cravings on that future flight, I bought 5 cans of General original in Copenhagen airport on the stopover back to Ireland. Absolutely hated it, and didn't use it at all on the flight home or back here, and left them in the fridge. Three weeks ago, decided it was best to quit smoking, and bought some of the patches. Used for one or two days, then remembered my now way out of date snus in the fridge, so started using them as well. Believe it or not, the portions were still ok. Now off the patches altogether, and thankfully liking the General now, albeit fresh new cans of the stuff. Have gone los now too, enjoying offroad wintergreen, and General wintergreen portions. I seem to be not one for the real tobacco taste, however have enjoyed some Roda Lacket los of late too.

My first snus was Lucky Strike. Before snus I tried some American moist snuff, like Skoal. My friend gave me can of Skoal Bandits. We both wanted to stop smoking, but the American stuff was too weak. Then I discovered real stuff - swedish snus and ordered some cans of Lucky Strike and Knox. I think I will not order LS anymore, because I like a bit more flavoured snus, like Roda Lacket and Goteborgs Rape.

Saw a Camel ad, they were out of it. That night I looked it up on the net, found out about Swedish snus, ordered some. Kept smoking for a couple days, ordered some from a friend of mine in Louisville, KY (he owns a tobacco store there and has General products), he overnighted it to me. I got Gen Orig. portions and white portions...tried the white portions and never touched a cigarette again.

Still have the half pack of Camel Wides in my vehicle...lol

Starting out I tried to find a snus that I could afford, had low carcinogens, and was considered a "good buy". I purchase several Offroad products and Knox los. The first one I tried was Knox los. It looked like earthworm crap and had little flavor (at this time subtle taste was not take into consideration). I came to enjoy the Offroad Wintergreen los that I had. I can say it led me to buy more snus. I still buy one once in a while because I enjoyed it. Maybe I will buy some knox los again as well, that way I can appreciate it much more than I did when I was shocked how different it tasted compared to domestic US chewing tobacco.
