Yeah, for sure. I'm glad all the dust seems to have settled. I think some jokes, arguably tasteless, but oh well, were misinterpreted. I made my apology, and it's sincere, and it seems we should all move on at this point.

Unfortunately political conversation can get out of hand, and as I'll say for the millionth time, sarcasm can be lost on the internet. Oh well. We're all friends now I hope. Aside from TexDis, who I believe was being sincere, and if not, then we're cool too.

A mac dude, I am all the way PC but maybe should learn mac since it has some nice features. I remember IT deoartments hated macs for connectivity and the fact it wasn't windows.

I made the switch in November, still have my pc, but it hasn't seen power for months. I love my Macbook Pro! They really are great machines, although overpriced unfortunately.

I'm a musician, and for recording Macs are the way to go. The OS is great too to say the least. No anti-virus is necessary, I get no spyware, no pop-ups while surfing etc... It's just a more stable and secure system. It all just seems to work, and that's more than I can say for my many PC's of the past.

Also, it comes with great useful programs and no bloatware. I recommend them for sure.

Our marketing department staff had to hav macs for graphic design work and the IT guys never liked the idea but had no choice but to support them.

I apologize if I'm mistaken, but didn't they do away with the draft? Therefore you joining the Army was a personal choice, right? So you trying to paint yourself as some messiah whom graciously left his chosen path to defend his country argument is kind of weak/lame.

No one called you a dirty, evil, soldier; all I said is that being intimately involved with the 82nd Airborne, I know your type. Your type, to me, is the guy that couldn't accomplish anything else in life due to lack of intelligence or education so you didn't have any option except to join the armed forces. (That's not a slur against the military, that's a slur against you). Your type then invents this ridiculously ludicrous backstory that involves you having some type of awesome "career" that you valiantly did away with in order to "defend our country". (I also wonder what type of high profile careers you guys have that apparently require little more spelling ability than the average fourth grader possesses- but I digress...)

So in order to appear "heroic" or "noble" you constantly interject into any opportunity you can that you are a US soldier, and that you risk your life day in and day out for little pay and even less recognition. You died for our sins, blah blah blah- it's just shit I hear all day from 21 year old guys that never would be able to achieve that rate of pay in any other endeavor, and yet you want the rest of the world to bow down and kiss your ass for doing a job that you were damned lucky to get.

You know what kid, im done with you. I only brought up the soldier thing because you were trying to make fun of me for it. Im not some messiah, and most people who are in the army ARE there because they aint got shit else to do and lived on some far before joining.
I dont have some magical career, but sure didn’t join the army for the money because they dont get paid shit. Im 23 and I work at a medical management company, I make roughly 40k a year which in california isn’t much but it was better than I made in the army. How about you just stop worrying about what I do, it adds nothing good to this forum.

I don’t think being in the army is anything special, its just a job, and it sucks. but still i dont appreciate you making fun of me for choosing that job as though you had some reason to cast your opinion?

If your brother isn't that type, why get offended? Not everyone in the 82nd is that way, as I pointed out ("this isn't a slur against the military, this is a slur against you"). Calm down and re-read what I said before you start getting irate and threatening to fight some stranger on the internet.

I have no problem with the 82nd, and I value having a military. But there are a lot of assholes in it, especially in the 82nd, and quite a lot of them are exactly the way I described.
