I really like the free UPS on orders over $50. less of a chance of the 14+ day delays that it can get from overseas, no chance of customs. and i can track it...

wtf, i spent 60$ and they charged me shipping. SOAB

Well, I didn't hit the free shipping, and if I had remembered, I would have added a couple extra cans to my latest order, since it came to 42 or something, and it's being shipped UPS.

Of course, the tracking number they've sent me still shows up as "not found" on the UPS site, so for all I know, it's still sitting in a warehouse in Pennsylvania, waiting for the big brown truck to show up.

I wonder why all the different methods of shipping? I can guess that maybe if whoever is there at the physical getsnus office/store doesn't want to head out to the post office that day they just give everything to the UPS man. I've been guilty of the same thing. At one of my earlier jobs, I worked in an office that utilized FedEX (came by at eleven AM), USPS (I had to drop packages off on my lunchbreak at noon) and UPS (came about 1:30 PM). Even if it cost more, if I didn't feel like heading to the post office that day or wasn't able to leave work, UPS got everything.

I can say that my one lone order with getsnus arrived via USPS the second day after I placed my order.

My orders tend to take 3-4 days with Getsnus. I've always ordered over 50 bucks so they've used UPS. I definitely agree that they should offer a shipping option at checkout. I much prefer FedEx over UPS.

Yeah, me too. I don't live all that far away from them to begin with, and for my first 2 orders, they shipped, there was a day (or a weekend) in transit, and then they were delivered.

The UPS order though, picked up Monday evening, waiting for me when I got home from work today. If I plan out my ordering times better (since that order was actually placed just after 3 on Friday, so I missed that shipping cutoff), that works out to overnight shipping for 4.95 (or less, if I throw in enough to get to the $50 mark) Can't really beat that.

I don't really have a preference b/w UPS or FedEx, but FedEx won't ship tobacco products. (found that out through a cigar order not too long ago)

I also got curious about GetSnus' shipping methods, since I have ordered from them a few times. I called to find out what the deal was and the rep told me that the decision to ship an order either UPS or the Postal Service was based on weight.

Interesting on both points. I wonder what the weight cut-off is. Also, I wonder why FedEx won't ship tobacco?

I order from getsnus.com and use swedish postal, but it always shows up with UPS, with a torn up package anda customs declaration and an apology letter UPS for destroying the package.

Hi, my name is Jill and I'm from GetSnus.com. This is obviously my first post. I read this with interest and was concerned with the shipping method you described. All of our shipments come from our fulfillment center in Pennsylvania. We do use UPS and USPS, however, I am concerned with the description you gave of your package as it is not part of our normal shipping practices. Hopefully, you can get back with me so that we can further discuss this matter at my e-mail: jillc@getsnus.com.

To me that sounds like a BuySnus envelope?

Are we talking about the same shop?

I think the OP got getsnus mixed up with buysnus.
