I love tea. I really don't drink much warm tea but I drink at least 2 of the 23oz cans of arizona green tea w/ginseng and honey every day. My denist doesn't like it though, says it stains my bottom teeth. Oh well. Matter of fact I'm enjoying one right now along with a N&J.
Any other tea drinkers here?

That's ok for a quicky before bed or something, but tea's about as close to the flavor of coffee as instant is.

Am I insane for not being too keen on Earl Gray? It's good, but I much prefer plain black teas and green teas. Maybe it's just because I grew up on it.
Although, the spiced tea my grandma makes is fantastic. I'll have to look it up and post it here. It's a black tea, a stick of cinnamon, three cloves, and maybe a little cardamom. It's a bit like Masala Chai, but not as heavily spiced.

Ugh... I can't ever get into Folgers willingly anymore. At home mom and dad find some really nice beans that the store roasts. They kinda spoiled me on that stuff. And then my roommate, Rodriguez, got a Bialleti and some espresso grinds from home... Cuban coffee = hardcore rawk. Meanwhile I'm stuck with Eight O'clock Coffee beans that I grind for the small French press I have.

Love tea. It's one of those things where the range in quality between cheap crap in bags and luxurious loose leaf is jaw dropping. I like Taiwanese Gao Shan green teas and have just found a stellar organic Darjeeling that has become a new favourite.
As for the UK, there is good tea here, but the same 90% of people that drink instant coffee drink absolutely shit tea as well. I don't think it's anything to do with tea or coffee, per se, I think the British are just mostly born without tastebuds. The amount of absolutely horrid stuff in this country designed to go into your mouth is staggering. The search for anything remotely tasty becomes a mission of hunting for a tucked away specialty shop :?
Exceptions for Branston's pickle, Colman's mustard, Marmite, and good ales and ciders. Pretty much everything else, though...

Some modus tollens logic:
(i) Raddleman is British
(ii) If all British drink crap tea and coffee and have no tastebuds, Raddleman drinks crap tea and coffee and has no tastebuds.
(iii) Raddleman does NOT drink crap tea and coffee, and does have tastebuds.
(iv) QED - Not all British drink crap tea and coffee and have no tastebuds.
QED2 - Raddleman has some basic knowledge of Propositional Logic and is bored as hell.

8 O'Clock is some of the best coffee that's commonly available. I haven't gotten it in awhile since I've been short on money. I've had to buy whatever's on sale; Sigh... :^(
As long as you grind it before brewing, it's some top notch stuff, especially considering the price. If you haven't already, try the French Roast. It's some of my favorite coffee regardless of price.

As for your propositional logic, I believe I did say "mostly" and not "entirely".

i picked up a couple of teas tonight at teavana. some gunpowder green and some lapsang souchong. the lapsang is some good stuff i haven't tried the gunpowder yet. i went to scotland for a week in '06. first day i ordered coffe somewhere and was petrified. i'm not sure what you would have to do to make coffee taste that bad. it was worse than truckstop coffee that had been sitting all day. i even tried the starbucks there. i'm not a big starbucks fan but i was thinking it would be better. wrong again it was just as bad. i'm not sure why it is so wretched maybe the water, but isn't that the same water they use to make my beloved scotch? oh well at least i know i can get a good cuppa tea when i visit again.
