It's well worth it. I take it as a serious dark comedy. The entire scenario is darkly hilarious but the book does such a great job in going through what to do just in case. And let's face it, you never know... Your hometown may be the target of a secret government test of a new virus that'll get out of control! Or worse... a terrorist attack with a zombie mutagenic virus! I'm stockpiling on ammunition and canned food as we speak.

I had a friend who was really into this book.. and he was SO SURE that the zombie apocalypse was going to happen...

One of my favorite pastimes was to start a conversation with him starting in.. "zombies aren't real..." and watch him get all excited.. hehe

Oh man... my roomie and I took it to new levels. I go to The Citadel, a military college, and we don't get out much. Leave (when we're allowed off campus) is Wednesday afternoons until 7:50pm, Friday after parade (5pm - 1am), Saturday (5:30am - 1am) and Sunday (5:30am - 7:50pm). We find things to amuse ourselves with. ARod (roomie) and I watched Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead (original), Day of the Dead, and Dawn of the Dead (remake). And we started to discuss what if scenarios. And we started asking around the barracks as well. Soon we became the zombie experts. And me, being the more militant one, was deemed the "Battalion Zombie Slayer". One night after everyone got back from leave I decide to up the ante even more. A lot of upperclassmen were drunk and may as well have been zombies. And thus, this video was born.

It doesn't end there. We made a sequel the next year. Again, drunk upperclassmen, and me taking full advantage.

We did a third outbreak with the knobs (freshmen) acting as zombies on Devil's Night, but we opted not to include that vid. More than likely we'd have been written up for 'hazing'. Despite no one being hurt and it all being voluntary and hilarious... I say the administration caused the outbreak and just doesn't want us leaking it to the public.

So yep, that's me slaying zombies. I should don the outfit and gear and get photos. Many changes, all of them more badass and sexah. >=3

Zombie #3 recipe
1 1/4 oz lemon juice
2 dashes grenadine syrup
3/4 oz orange juice
3/4 oz Heering® cherry liqueur
3/4 oz white rum
2 oz dark rum
3/4 oz 151 proof rum

Shake over ice in a shaker, and strain into a large highball glass over crushed ice.

28% (56 proof)
Serve in: Highball Glass
