Tonight we are going nuts. Went to Pike Place Market for some fresh Pacific NW seafood... Cedar plank feta-crusted grilled salmon, bacon-wrapped scallops with crushed macadamia and brown sugar glaze, pan-fried fresh Willapa Bay oysters, salad, an assortment of imported lagers, champaign, and currently, Claq Qui. ****in-A.

When I lived in Seattle, the beef curry hombow's from Mi Sum Pastry down in pike place was a wonderful lunch treat sometimes. Loved haggling with them over the price.

I don't cook much... I'd say the best thing I make is grilled cheese, with French onion soup :^D

I use rye bread, Swiss or extra sharp cheddar sliced off the block, and I fry it in olive oil.

Is Poulsbo still really big into the wine producing?

My favorite home cooked meal that I can easily make is a chicken quesadilla casserole. The recipe for which I found on the back of a pre-grated cheese package.

If my Mom is cooking then it is a Pork and Apple dish with sweet potatoes and steamed carrots.

Spaghetti Bolognese. Made by my girl. Cos she's HOT!

Does Indian takeaway count as home-cooked if we eat it off our own plates?

                              Some awesome ****in' jambalaya

                              2 1/2 cps of water
                              8 ounces of tomato sauce
                              Three smoked sausages
                              Three Chicken Breasts
1 cup long-grain white or brown rice
                              3 tablespoons minced onion
                              1/2 tablespoon chicken boullion
                              1/2 teaspoon thyme leaves
                              1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
                              1/2 tespoon ground black pepper
                              1/4 teaspoon creole seasoning

In large mixing bowl add minced onion, thyme, garlic powder, black pepper and creole seasoning and rice, mix together

bring water to boil water in pot, add tomato sauce, chicken boullion and your rice concoction, put lid on pot. turn heat to a bit under medium. put lid on pot

grill chicken in a skillet, season with black pepper while cooking. halfway through throw in sausage cut into 1/4 inch pieces.

when chicken is done remove both chicken and sausage.

add chicken and sausage to boiling mixture and let boil for 20 minutes or until rice is ready. rice will settle to the bottom. do not stir until finished, lift lid as little as possible

                              mix up and serve.

theoretically you could change out the rice with some kind of pasta, but i don't know if that would be nearly as good.

im not sure about poulsbo anymore, you are talking about poulsbo washington right?i am assuming, but i do know that that whole Puget sound area has a lot of i guess you could call them 'micro vineyards' i know the town i was born and lived in until i was about 11, snoqualmie, before moving to maple valley, has a few pretty well known ones, you can pick up a bottle of snoqualmie wine here in kalispell mt...i once went to a styx concert at a vineyard, and i believe it was near poulsbo. with the amount of god forsaken rain they get there i dont know how well they grow grapes, im not sure if grapes like a lot of moisture or not...lol but god does it rain.

kalispell gets 9" a year...seattle gets 36" a year, and snoqualmie/north bend gets nearly 100" it is a temperate rainforest, and the closer you get to the cascades the more rain you get!

                                so yeah
