That's how snus used to be packed. They started with the small round tins in the 60s. Previously, the small tins were the coffin shaped ones like Gellivare uses now. I don't know about the large containers, but presumably you could buy snus in quantity that way.

I though they're custom made. Definitelly my favorite is the metal lid can.

I'd love to see Swedish Match go back to the metal lids. They were a much classier presentation. I wouldn't mind if they just did a limited run for xmas or something. I could stock up, and use them on the regular tins. A very kind Swede sent me an old metal snus lid. I was tempted to use it for my daily snus, but it would just get ruined doing that. I'm just keeping it as a collectible.

The metal lid gives a more elegant look to the can, and I think they're cheaper to produce.

The oval shaped ones where 45 ore (half a kroner)
