OK, before you read it this post please realize i am an xbox fan, and just not a fan an PS3, so please realize where this reply comes from.

Each console has its pros and cons and are both amazing.

I view a PS3 as a very very nice blu-ray player at a decent cost.

However, I choose xbox 360 because of a few things.

No. 1 is overall games. Sony is losing a few of its IPs (intellectual properties) to xbox such as GTA and Final Fantasy to xbox, meaning they are now cross platform games.

No.2 Xbox Live - ok , this touchy because PS3 network is free, which xbox should do as well, but with Xbox Live you get netflix, which if u have an account allows you to download a movie to ur xbox, too many tv show downloads to count and also Xbox market place rentals.

U also get xbox arcade which has some NES classics and just great titles.

No. 3 - Exclusive Xbox titles such as Halo, Gears of War Mass Effect ( believre that one is Xbox IP ) and also quite a few others.

The main reason i went from Sony to xbox is overall bang for the buck.

I just think sony made the same mistake sega did with the dreamcast, which was releasing a console before its time.

I think they r both great but i just enjoy my xbox more than I did the PS3, which i later sold to a friend.

But this is a bias comment based on the fact i like microsoft and now dislike sony.

also, how hard is it for americna companies to hire customer support reps that actually speak english.

    I mean, Come on.

It's an amusing internet phenomenon that somebody can't mention their PS3 without it instantly turning into something about an xbox, generally involving long lists of reasons why one is better than the other.

PC USE to be the pinnacle of gaming.

Now its the black sheep because of supporting titles and the need to always upgrade graphics cards and so on.

To be a hardcore PC gamer is a real pain in the ass.

Its just easier to have a console with 60GB up 120GB of free space not taken up by cpu programs and so on.

I use to use a PC until it just became rediculous ti keep playing.

Console Gaming is just easier and moreplausable of a platform right now.

Ease of use and a wide variety of Premium titles instead of the occasional hits on PC platforms.

Plus the Multi Million dollar donation given to Bethesda ( makers of the elder scrolls series RPGs ) to create an MMO to rival if not surpass WoW.

Not saying itll be better, cant beat over 5 mill playing a game online such as WoW, but will be the biggest MMO project done on the console level.

                Xobe, eat ur heart out

WoW actually has over 10 mil world-wide.

As far as dethroning WoW... There have been a few failed attempts. Both good in their own ways (LoTR, Guild Wars), but everyone (including myself) who tried the others always found our way home in rather quick succession.

If anything is going to get the job done, it is going to be Warhammer Online. I have heard nothing but rave reviews from all my Warcrack buddies. Myself, I have the Warcraft expansion preordered (to be delivered 11/13) and I refuse to try Warhammer until I know whether I am going to keep w/ WoW in the x-pack.

On the note of a console-driven MMO. I just could not fathom it. When I think about the number of user-created add-ons I use; coupled with the ungodly amount of hotkeys, binds and macros I have for raid healing... A console MMO will have to be pretty well dumbed down in that aspect.

I couldnt even imagine trying to kill raid bosses without boss ability/cooldown timers
