How do I post a picture (or avatar as it is called)? Secondly, how do I post a picture for display in one of my replies (more specifically in the forum post where members are posting pictures of themselves)? I guess the first question really should be how do I make an existing picture small enough for a display picture beside my posts underneath my user name? Thanks in advance for the replies.

If you only need it for your avatar open it in paint or window's picture editor and set the size. The forum has a limit, I think 80 X 80. Then save it somewhere you'll remember, like desktop. Then upload it to your profile.

If you want to post pics in the threads then.... Well you have to host them somewhere and.. it's... well not really complicated. I'm just not good at explaining. Nevemind.

I upload my images to http://imageshack.us/

Imageshack allows you to resize your image as you upload it. Once you are done it will give you a direct link to the image. You go to your profile settings and put that link in for your avatar.

For posts, find the link to the image (usually by right clicking on an image or get it from the site you upload to) and put it in the image code like this:
