    New guy here, little background.

    Hey how's everyone doing tonight.

Little background, I'm 22 year old male who has been smoking cigs for ~7 years. About 5 months back I had one of my lungs partially collapse, doctors say it's common for tall skinny males and more common for those who smoke. So after that happened I did my best to stop smoking, but as many of you know, you get the urge. Started back up the last 3 months and have been slowly smoking more and more. I started getting the same pains in my chest before I found out my lung was partially collapsed so I decided I needed to do somthing and just quitting cold turkey was not working. I've been seeing advertisements around my area (ohio) for tourney snus and triumph snus. The other night I went into speedway to buy some cigs and picked up some of the tourney wintergreen snus aswell, figured I'd give it a try. I've never used any snuff or anything before so this is all new to me.

The past 3 days (since I bought this stuff) I've used up 16 portions and only have smoked about 6 cigs. Normally I was smoking 7-10 cigs per day depending on the day but I have def. cut back and my lungs are thanking me. I love this stuff but I'm more excited to get my mixed portions from buysnus.com. It should be coming within the next 2 days I hope. I can't wait to try the "real" sweedish snus and look forward to enjoying and experimenting with all the flavors.

Thanks for reading. I know I've enjoyed reading the posts from the past few nights while enjoying my snus

Welcome, and keep with it man! I'm 31 and docs found massive blood clots in both my lungs last year. Smoking was not the direct cause, they really don't know what was, but smoking contributed for sure. I've been on Swedish since June and 100% smokefee since early July. My health is overall better and I attribute that to quitting my pack-a-day habit. I hate to say it, but I think health-wise even American pseudo snus, like Tourney and Camel are better than smoking. Good luck, with severe pulmonary issues like ours, we can't afford to take any chances. And to me Röda Lacket white portion tastes like berry jam on toast, I think I'm in love with it, give it a try.

Cool, man. Welcome. You clearly were not meant to smoke, even moderately. Snus should solve your problem. Good luck to you.

Welcome to the forum and good luck dropping the smokes. The snus will do you well for this. Regarding the Tourney & Triumph. You made the wrong choice. Most folks HATE Tourney (in all fairness, some think it's ok... but it's just bad IMO).

OTOH, Triumph is wonderful snus. I'm not partial to menthol but the original has a really good, light & natural peach flavor. Some 'purists' here say the Triumph is too sweet, as the traditional Swedish product is unsweetened. You should do yourself a favor and go back and buy a few cans of Triumph. You won't regret it.

Welcome to the forums! Those little teabags are like magic! I was a 20 year 1-1/2 pack a day smoker, and was 100% smoke free in two weeks with Swedish snus. The stuff is so yummy too... Unbelievable!

            Thanks for the welcome!

My hopes are to just quit smoking by the end of this pack so I can start to get healthy again I hate that I get winded going for my daily walk with the wife. I'm already to the point were I'll light up a cigarette and barely even puff on it before I throw it out almost half way. It's amazing!

I'm going to buy some triumph here in a few minutes to see how that is, the only thing I don't like about the tourney is it's real dry and doesn't have much flavor to it. But then again I have nothing to compare to except reading other peoples reviews.

I havn't been this excited about recieving something in the mail for a while I feel like a little kit haha!

Ditto, I quit very quickly using snus. The main thing is to simply stop buying cigarettes if possible. Maybe you could bum one every once in a while but stop purchasing them if you can. Then take a long drive somewhere with a couple of cans of snus.

I almost forgot, don't forget to get some strong or stark varieties. They really helped me in the morning when I really wanted that first cigarette or when the body really cries for nic.

Full agreement; Nick & Johnny West is a strong white portion that is mild in flavor with a bit of citrus and high in nicotine. It'll be a great option in the am when you head out for work/school/whatever. If you're an energy drink guy, get some Elixyr Power Energy, it tastes like pine-sol but has an amazing caffeine kick, higher in nic. Sagedil swears by it, and he's completely normal ;P

Ditto.. get some sterk. 17+ year former smoker here. Almost 2 months without a ciggy. It hasn't even been that hard with snus- and i'm around cigarettes / smoking all the time. (wife smokes). welcome and keep with it. Just remember if you want a ciggy, just snus and wait a couple min for the craving to go away.

Yeah that works real good. The nice thing is, with cigs. I'd have to go outside to smoke(wife doesn't like cig smoke in the house), so even if I want one, it's just so much easier to grab the snus, throw it in and in a few minutes I forget about wanting a cig. I have smoked a few more, still have to break that routine at work where I eat lunch and go out for a smoke. I'm getting better at hiding it under my lip, but the big guy was in today, didn't wanna chance it. Still waiting to have someone call me out at work about it. I've had to hold back laughing quite a few times already.

Hopefully my order will be in tomorrow so I won't have to wait till Monday.

Also I bought some triumph to hold me over until my order gets in, and it is much more tastey than the tourney, and seems to give me a better dose of nic.
