Phoenix Smoker Needs SNUS!

While traveling to Indianapolis last week I discovered Marlboro snus at the airport. After trying it, and finding it to be not half bad as far as flavor, I did some googling and found out that Marlboro is complete and total crap, and can't even be called snus! After watching some vids on You Tube, I ordered a sample pack from Northerner. Buysnus.com credit card ordering was not working. Anyway, I find out today that the goose stepping Nazi's that run this state don't allow the sale or purchase of snus! I'm afraid my order is going to get confiscated once it gets here, or may get blocked on the east coast. Are any of you living in Arizona, and if you are, do you have any problem getting your orders? After all I've read, I'm convinced that this is the way to go to quit smoking. After over 30 years, everything else has failed. Any help or advise for getting my hands on some snus here in Phoenix would be greatly appreciated.

Buysnus.com Order Worked

I just found out from my email that the order I thought didn't go through due to it bombing out and never giving me a confirmation code actual did go through, and it was shipped yesterday!! :P Now I have an order coming from Buysnus and Northerner. If either or both gets here, I hope I like the stuff, cause I'm going to have a lot of it!!

Yes, there are issues, For example, from Swedishsnus.com site...

* are prohibited in Arizona, Delaware, Idaho, Indiana, Oregon and Rhode Island due to state regulations.
* are prohibited to consumers under 18 years of age (under 19 years of age if a resident of Alabama, Alaska or Utah).

However!!! From everything I understand, this is a law aimed at the sellers. And some snus sites will not ship to certain states because of it. But for whatever reason, both Buysnus and Northerner don't seem to care. It has been questioned in the past why. No real answer. Possibly a deal was made directly with the state to ensure taxes were paid. Perhaps they are big enough, or feel they can't be touched in Sweden, I don't know. But they do sell and ship to every state.

It is NOT something that will be seized by the state. They do not have that capability, nor does the post office track that kind of issue.

So basically, if a store will sell it to you, it's not your issue, and as long as they send it, you will get it.

Now......I can't wait until you try real snus. Please let us know what your reaction is. And yes, you will stop smoking. Don't even stress about trying. Just try the snus when you get it. Within two weeks of me trying snus, I was not smoking on most days. Within a month, I had completely stopped buying cigarettes.

Thanks for the info, and the good news. I've never ordered smokes over the Internet, so I didn't know if the state enforced their policy or not. I'll be traveling to Lenoir NC next week, and working at a hospital with a smoke free campus policy that they actually enforce. Hopefully my order will come this week, and I'll be able to take it with me. Driving off campus just to smoke is a big waste of time. I'll still smoke at the bar though. NC is one of the last states I travel too that still allows smoking in bars! Indiana is the worst. You can't even smoke outside the airport terminal anymore.

Umm, here in Raleigh, there are bars you can't smoke in, And a local hospital in Johnson county (heart of the old tobacco country), just instituted a new tobacco policy that covers everyone that specifically bans all oral tobacco as well.

I wouldn't expect your order to take longer than 6 days, maybe 7. Being here in Raleigh, I get 90% of my orders in 4 days.

Got My Snus

I got my order from Northerner in the mail today!! :mrgreen: I was so excited I just about crapped my drawers. I rushed it home and threw it in the fridge to cool off. It was 107 degrees here today. I've decided to try three that I've read about quite a bit....Ettan, Goteborgs Rape, and General. All are portions. I haven't smoked for about an hour so I can enjoy the nic rush. I've also knocked down a few glasses of premium Japanese sake to help enhance the experience. I think I'll start a new thread for this....noobs first taste of snus! I haven't seen one like that yet. I'm thinking other noobs can share their first experience, and get some advise from you pro's!

Y'all just don't know how much pleasure us oldies get from hearing your stories. It just reminds us of when we first tried snus. And every single one of us here treasures that memory.

Got the second package the next day. No worries. I now have about 14 different flavors to work my way through. Yesterday was the first full day, and I managed to get through the whole day in my home office without smoking. The wife was pretty stoked about that. Then she got pissed cause I dove into the sake again.....oh well, one battle at a time!! I ordered some Skruf portions and loose also. Tried to get Montecristo, but Northerner removed it from my order, which confirms what I read in another thread. Is the Montecristo worth going after?

Hey! I also live in Phoenix (Glendale) and have been snusing for about 1/2 a year. It's unreal. My Finnish friend got me on it when he was in town for some company meetings. I've been a portions guy myself because I'm at the office all the time but I just ordered a bunch on Los and an icetool to go with it.

I've made about 5 orders from buysnus.com and have never had a shipping problem getting it to Glendale. I'm glad you got your shipments!
