First of all, I'm pretty certain that Frosted's not banned, he just got a warning. Hell, even I've been warned by the mods, LMAO...I wear it as a badge of honor around here :-)

Now, regarding the post that got Frosted warned...it was justified, IMO. His post was in direct response to a new member's post and it was, well...less than friendly. While Frosted was just defending his beloved Oden's, it could have been handled with a bit more tact. Now, we all love Frosted and we all love Oden's and GN, but if this forum wants to continue being on the internet, then we cannot treat the new members like crap and make them feel like they don't know what they're talking about.

Now, I'm in an interesting postion here, because while I'm a mod here (not as active as the other mods) I'm also in the snus business, and do business with GN and speak with him quite frequently. GN is only defending a friend of his, and someone that champions his brands, no harm in that. We all know his English is better than our Swedish, and we thank GN for being here as a representative for his company and brands and that he builds his brand recognition/sales by being here. He is also a dear friend and member of this site, so no more calls for an apology, no more attacks and no more leaving the site over warnings being issued...it's stupid.

FYI...I just checked and Frosted is banned, my mistake. I've come to find out that he was indeed warned for the posts in question, and then events that took place afterwards, got him a vacation. That's the same that would happen to me, or any of you if the ToU are violated. We have recently instituted updated ToU, and anyone that's unfamiliar with them, should take the time to read and familiarize yourself with them. They will be adhered to. If everyone adheres to them, we can continue on as one big family and have fun, learn about snus, snuff, e-cigs and any other thing we choose.

This site is for the sharing of information between friends and I personally like seeing the new members come in and learn about these products. Let's keep it friendly and welcoming to newbies that have questions. I also like seeing guys like GN come to this site and teach us about his products, Aki allows this because it provides a service to the members here and it helps build GN's Oden's brands, which I also like because I'm doing my damdest to sell a ton of them in the US. Keep up the good work, GN!! I'd love to see other manufacturers get in here and take advantage of Aki's willingness to allow them a forum to discuss their brands, for free. Let's move on, and know that we're working on the situation at hand, but we also need to continue to make this site a better place for everyone.

I wouldn't say he "bashed" anyone, but he was certainly less than gentlemanly, and from what I hear, it was what happened after the warning that earned his vacation. The same would happen to me or any other member here. The rules are the rules. For what it's worth though, I'd love to watch you toss some ninja stars at PP. Don't worry...he'd love it :-)

Is this a permanent ban or is he on a hiatus? I enjoy reading his posts but I understand we all have to abide by the same rules. I agree with his love of Oden's but everyone has different tastes. I don't even knock people down for liking Skruf and that sits right below Offroad for me.

This is undetermined at this point, and it's up to the admin of the site. Many things happen behind the scenes in situations like this, but as Frosted was/is a valued member here, we/I will update the membership as needed. Oh, and I agree...Skruf sucks, lol. It used to be really good, but I think they've undergone a formulation change...could be wrong though. Maybe my tastes have just changed.

Responses:

1. Title of your thread, "Serious word of WARNING to Snuson". Anyone who speaks English as a first language would easily interpret that as a warning to the site and therefore as it is a community site a warning to all, members, mods, etc.
2. Do you know everything Frosted did directly through witnessing it, private messages, other threads, etc. How do you know they weren't doing something malicious or against site policy.
3. It does, because you as a member of the community are trying to dictate policy regarding another member of the community, as if you or they are beyond the existing site rules that we all agreed to abide by if this is truly a case of disregard for those rules, which in response 2 I clarify you cannot possibly know for sure all that has happened. So it does indeed affect all of us if someone can use threats against the site to dictate how policies affect themselves or other members. The word would be a precedent.
4. I would say you do to the admins for threatening them instead of dealing with this politely, professionally, and privately as opposed to this online temper tantrum. Then again maybe an "apologi" is some type of unusual plant growth...
5. Unfair as in you don't like the result. There is no fair. If this is the case of the rules being violated it is what it is. If they were singled out, well maybe there is a point. A point that can be directed with the mods directly not in a public rant.
6. I doubt it. I imagine you get a good deal of business through here. Plus you have proven your addiction to entering the melee here. I got 2 to 1 odds on it minimum...

For the love all that is the English language you really should try to use a translation service. I mean I know my attempts at Swedish would be far worse if posting on a Swedish forum but I wouldn't even try it. There are so many free online translation services that would do better. Seriously it ranges from total guess work to a hypothesis based on context clues to figure out what most of your points actually meant.

Bottom line. This whole thread of yours is very poor netiquette.
