Why did President Obama hold a private ceremony on the traditional inauguration day

Also what's up with the millions upon millions of dollars that was spent on the public ceremony on Monday? As a country who is what 18 trillion in debt couldn't we just have a small ceremony and put the jag bag to work... Jesus Christ where is the sense in all this. I guarantee you all if Ron Paul had won that shit wouldn't fly....... I'm not even slamming Obama because Romney would have done the same thing.

It's sad for me to watch the constant mismanagement of our tax dollars. You're right that Romney probably would have done the same thing. More and more, I keep leaning towards the likes of Ron Paul and more Libertarian principles.
