I conclude that no amount of studies will determine a better or worse life with either hetero or homo parents. I do note that growing up in an environment that is exclusively gay would probably be confusing to some children, so children should be able to draw their own conclusions as to where they are headed. Good parenting is good parenting no matter your gender preferences.
I like your "good parenting is good parenting" statement. We have way too many throw away children in this world. I often wonder what our world would be like if we valued children and made an effort as a society to care for them. People fight for the rights of unborn children but they are on their own after birth. Sad.

With everything going on in the world, especially with the divorce rate in America, I can't believe people still can act like marriage and adopting children is this sacred thing that only a man and a woman can do. If a gay couple adopts children and raises them right and loves them, I cannot see why the kids would suffer any ill effects. This is ridiculous.

We all know that straight couples stay together forever and always do what is best for their children.

Exactly. Anytime you get religious thinking vs freedom arguments, there is never a resolution. If there was, the world wouldn't be in the position it's in.

I just have a hard time believing that with gay parents, having a father and a "mother", or the reverse cuts it. No disrespect to those that are gay, I have a couple of gay friends, and one's sexuality is their own business. It's just my opinion that homosexuality in itself isn't natural.
I really doubt it makes any difference if you have both a father and a mother, or two fathers or two mothers - As long you as you raise your children properly you can pretty much swing either way and it won't have an effect on the kid.
If this study is correct(which I doubt), the explanation probably lies with the characteristics that ones parents might impose on you.
I hate to generalize, but most male homosexuals are often more feminine and if they try to impose their more 'feminine' interests on to him which in turns means he will probably get picked on for liking something that would be considered "wrong" amongst male heteresexuals - Say, if I took interest in culture, arts, theater or designing I'd almost immediately be stamped as a homosexual, which in many places of the world is considered wrong(for no real reason(?)).

Obviously not the point. Whilst I believe a father mother dynamic is best; Truth be told 50% of those don't work out and after they don't work out prolly at least 25% 0f those are not amicable or one parent was a louse and will never see those kids again. I guess my first point is that the kids in these effed up hetero relationships are probably not going to fare any better. That leads me to the fact that when you are talking about a good couple of people who have to work their asses off just to adopt or do the insemination thing, it shows they are really committed. I mean hell anybody can get pregnant and it sometimes happens to people who can't afford it or are to young to know what they're getting into. So, If there is a loving couple who will take them in and have the means to support them, I say great. I have many more reasons going thru my mind right now but I need to get to bed. If and when I continue I will elaborate...

thanks for the quick response. It is probably much easier on a kid to have both a mother and a father, but on the flipside it's probably cool to have "two people" who love you and take care of you as well, compared to one or especially in these kinds of situations (adoptions) none. It's really such a SMALL portion of the population (less than 1%) anyways it's pretty silly to even debate.
