What area, specifically? I don't know a lot of mechanics out there but if the local Community College out there has an automotive tech program then they might be able to help. Just a thought. Job market is tough but if you are a good wrench the jobs are out there. A lot of em are at the tire place chains though. Best bet, while looking for a job start doing some shade tree work out of your home, as much as you can get away with.

Grats. Not sure how entry level you are looking for but there is a shop where I have always gotten top notch service and top notch work. It's Mr Transmission on Patton Ave in Asheville. Here is the contact info:

      639 Patton Avenue
      Asheville
      (828) 254-9370

If I were looking for an automotive job that's the place I would start with. They are always swamped and looks like a great place to work.
