    RIP Whitney Houston

Such a shame, such a waste.

Whitney Houston, superstar of records, films, dies

LOS ANGELES — Whitney Houston, who reigned as pop music's queen until her majestic voice and regal image were ravaged by drug use, has died. She was 48.
Publicist Kristen Foster said Saturday that the singer had died, but the cause and the location of her death were unclear.
At her peak in the 1980s and `90s, Houston the golden girl of the music industry and one of the world's best-selling artists.
Among her hits were "How Will I Know," "Saving All My Love for You" and "I Will Always Love You." She won multiple Grammys including album and record of the year.
Her success carried her beyond music to movies like "The Bodyguard."

But by the end of her career, drug use took its toll as her record sales plummeted and her voice became raspy and hoarse.

She was a very talented artist... Rest in Peace, Whitney.

Man that is too bad............and truly tragic..............she had an amazing gift..........and in many ways we only got to glimpse it
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

I hate that. Her rendition of our National Anthem was in my opinion probably the best that I have ever heard.

So sad to see talent like hers just wasted. I'd be looking for Bobby Brown right about now, lol

I feel bad for her family and all but no one made her smoke that crack by gun point.

I always wondered what people saw in her. She always had a very undisciplined voice with little in the way of musicality or creativity. If people ever listened to a trained voice you would know what a joke she was. Outside of being able to carry a tune she was mush.

She might sound good if you happen to be in a drug induced coma

She was alright... Never really caught my ears :P Actually remember her more as an actress with her role on the movie "Bodyguard" than on the actual singing part... Doesn't mean shes a bad singer though!

stubby2, too soon? Many people mourning here mate! *smile*

I'm amazed she mad it to 48. She had BEEN smoking crack for decades...

Could have definitely called it that she would be found dead in a Beverly Hills hotel room though. Very little surprise other than that it took this long.

RIP though, great voice and all that.
