Iin f ell back Friday afternoon after all of my time related tasks were complete. Since the kids are in school now, getting their routine changed around over the weekend helps them out on Monday. They are going to bed at the "new" time and waking up at the new time as well.
Did this in the spring as well and it worked....but that one is harder on all of us.

I certainly agree with you.Originally posted by lxskllrGood riddance. Ben Franklin is a hero of mine, but I'd like to kick him in the balls for championing DST. Mine, and most people's(whether they know it, or not) clock cycles are regulated by the sun. When you artificially dick around with the sun, it throws your clock off. If you want more light, get up earlier. DST is a sham, and it causes more problems than it solves(virtually none).
While putting my hand to farming a number of years ago, it was nigh impossible to convince all the farm critters of the time change. I imagine it's still the same today for whatever few imprisoned creatures are still around.

My only gripe with DST is that it irks me to no end when people call it Daylight Savings Time. Sounds like some sort of 12-hour back-to-school sale at Pic N Pay Shoes.

Dammit! For a second I thought DST might be going away forever. My irrational hope let me believe, I know better...

Standard Time returns, set the clock back Saturday
WASHINGTON—Relax, it's finally time to reclaim that hour of sleep you lost last spring.
That's right, Saturday night the clocks are turned back in most of the country.
Of course, most folks will do the job before hitting the sack Saturday night, even though the change doesn't become official until 2 a.m. Sunday local time.
And, of course, a few will forget. You can recognize them because they'll be an hour early for church, golf or whatever.
Residents of Hawaii, most of Arizona and some U.S. territories don't have to change since they did not observe daylight-saving time.
Public safety officials say this is also a good time to put a new battery in the smoke alarm, no matter where you live.
Daylight-saving time returns the second Sunday in March 2012.
