    Chapped lips, any ideas?

As the weather is changing I'm seeing my lips becoming chapped once again. Chapstick works ok but I don't really like the constant applying. I got a tube of carmex at walmart and just did a little research which a lot of people say the carmex, the more you use the more you need which I don't like at all. Any of you tried the Burt's bees? I don't know if the high price is warranted. Any suggestions would be great.

I was going to suggest, before you leave the house each day, lifting his tail, and giving him a big kiss on the asshole.

Keeps you from licking your lips :^P

On a more serious note, try some lip goo that has camphor in it(Carmex, Blistex...). It seems to work a little better, and I like camphor anyway.

            Edit:
Just reread the OP. I dunno, I like Carmex, but I don't use that kind of thing often. My lips have to be pretty thrashed before I put something on them. I don't generally like the feeling of stuff on my lips.

Thanks lxs, it does feel a lot better with the carmex I applied. I read of people who apply it every half hour every waking day which turned me off ha. The burt's bees products intrigue me because they use bee's wax and I do like natural cures. The less artificial chemicals the better.

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

Burts Bees is fine. I'm actually a pretty big fan of their products. As you noted, they're a little pricey, and I don't know that it works better than the major drugstore players, but it tastes better if nothing else. I don't like the way Chapstick tastes. It's really synthetic.

You know.............somebody should really come over and pee on your rug

but aside from the slanderous lip therapy hitherto suggested……… let me add

I have found that Carmex will dry your lips after the initial block wears off

                    Burt’s is fantastic

Good ol chapstick ain't bad either..............but Burts is better

Note to self........keep lx where you can see him at all times............especailly on cold windy days
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

In all seriousnes eric, deal with it. In my experience almost all lip lubes are better from an early prevention standpoint. and yes I've used them all...... Like wearing sun block if you will. Yes they will make it feel better afterwards but the time to use them is before as most have sunblock in them and a coating on the lips will definitely help with the wind. I experience lip trouble nearly all the time here in northern IL... due to the wind, sun, dry air and I use to chase the dragon with the balms, still have multiple tubes as I type, but I've come to realize that it's more environmental than anything else, the balm helps in prevention but if you use it too much it becomes counter productive... in my experienced opinion...........

I definitely appreciate the advice guys. Probably prevention is key, gonna give the Burt Reynolds bees a shot if it gets out of hand.

I have to to do a lot of speaking at work and use lip balm all the time. So far, I have found Dr. Bronners to be the best. Also, remember to drink lots of water.

Well, you could try putting some chicken poop on your lips...

But I have found the best is Neutrogena Lip Remedy or Neosporin Lip Therapy.

EDIT: Lovely sig by the way Frosted. I've been staring at it for sometime. I think the one on the right is my favorite!
