Whenever I buy General in Ohio, I slowly and clearly say "General White" and point directly to the refrigerator behind them. Sometimes the clerk remains dumbfounded well over 15 seconds. Some people are just plain moronic.

If I go to the 7-11 in Denmark in the city and ask for General snus he just looks at me and I have to explain that it's the stuff in the refrigerator that says General on the side -.-'
Apparently when I bought it, it was his first time selling it and it would go old in a couple of days so I got it for free so that's always nice. But before I got it I had to explain what it was. It's a bit sad, really.

This is not on the subject, but yesterday when I was buying a can of Skruf Mellan White, he insisted on me buying a whole roll even though I said I wanted just one can. Then he said that one can costed $8, but then I read and pointed out to him that the price in his snus refrigirator said $5 for a can. Greedy bastard.

It could be worse though. I walk into a Speedway store here in Ohio and ask for a can of General, and about 90% of the time I get a blank stare in return.

The sad reality in this video is that the clerk's knowledge of snus is typical of the average convenience store worker outside of say Sweden or Denmark. Snus will have a tough time catching on with this unfortunately being the usual consumer experience where people tend to buy tobacco. Swedish Match or V2 should supply training materials to the retailers and require their use so that this does not happen. From now on, Big Steve will have a negative view of snus and will tell others the same.

Yeah, people don't know shit about snus here in Sweden. It's a sad reality... The only tobacco store where people are educated in snus that I've been in here in Sweden is Snus2. I've been in plenty of stores where the clerks try to push you to buy snus with the wrong information, while I just stand there knowing that all they say is false.
