Chad has posted something in his stream about how to do that. In the section where you can select circles to post to, you can add an individuals name, and it'll post to their stream only. Not tried it myself yet, but apparently that's how it can be done.

Like I commented though, that solution is more akin to sending as personal message.Originally posted by muddyfunkstarChad has posted something in his stream about how to do that. No it does show up in "their" stream, what it does not do is show up in their profile when other people look at it. Only items they shared and others shared with them that you are either in the same circle or part of extended circles. Which theoretically you would see on your stream. There isn't really a wall to write on like FB. The profile view merely is content sensitive, not even activity sensitive. I don't think you can see when they add other people to their circles. You know like FB's "person A is now friends with person B".Originally posted by CoderGuyRight, doesn't actually show up in their stream. Still, it's a way to send to only a few people without sending email.

No, I've not seen anything like that so far. I always thought that was quite unnecessary on facebook.Originally posted by devilock76I don't think you can see when they add other people to their circles. You know like FB's "person A is now friends with person B".

It is nice, but it is not. First of all it is a pet peeve of mine and several friends that there are a couple of area promoters that like to hijack post on your wall. Where as they promote events by writing on your wall to spread it to your friends that aren't there friends. One of them actually has a team of people that does this and atleast have been kind enough to keep a list of people who don't appreciate it. It is that or making it so no one can post to your wall.Originally posted by muddyfunkstarNo, I've not seen anything like that so far. I always thought that was quite unnecessary on facebook.
In general I don't necessary get the separation between status updates and wall posts. I mean I understand the differences but not the why's advantages. Especially with being able to tag people in status updates, notes, comments etc. If you want everyone to be able to see something but want a person to have special attention with it then you tag them. Tagging them effectively puts it on there wall in FB.
And here is the thing, tagging someone in G+ does the same. So it is a better analog for the wall. Tagging and wall posts are kind of redundant. G+ also allows you granular control of who can tag you and how (requires approval, and on what).

The difference between Status Updates and Wall Posts is on the recipient's side. For instance, if I post a status update on my wall, it's the same as a wall post. However, if I see it's your birthday and post a message on YOUR wall wishing you happy birthday, everyone of your friends sees the post (and hopefully comments with their own happy birthday message). Google+ on the other hand does not allow me to do that. I could post a happy birthday to you on my circle and people in my circle will see it, but yours won't I believe.Originally posted by devilock76It is nice, but it is not. If you post to Extended Circles it will be seen by your circles, and your friends circles. That's about the closest thing to a Facebook wall post I can think of.Originally posted by CoderGuyThe difference between Status Updates and Wall Posts is on the recipient's side. The rub is "will be seen by your circles". Most time when I post to someone's wall on FB, I don't particularly want MY friends to see the post. G+ seems to be missing that "one" piece.Originally posted by muddyfunkstarIf you post to Extended Circles it will be seen by your circles, and your friends circles. But if I tag you in a status update it does the same thing. I think I explained that poorly at the start of my rant and better at the end. I like my posts to show evolution. Maybe one day I will get opposable thumbs and lose this pesky tail!Originally posted by CoderGuyThe difference between Status Updates and Wall Posts is on the recipient's side. Like I said, just tag the person, shows to who you know, posts on their wall and shows to who they know. Not the extended circle of everyone you know.Originally posted by muddyfunkstarIf you post to Extended Circles it will be seen by your circles, and your friends circles. Sorry guys - I HATE Google + and can't see me using it. As hard as I try, I can't see what all the fuss is about? I'm not a great fan of FB either so maybe it's just me and social networking I find hard to deal with and if it is, nothing will fix that.
I like snuson a hell of a lot, so I'll stick to being here.

Frosted, check back to the site in a few months. Don't delete your account just yet. As it stands now I hate it too lol. But I understand it's just a trial phase and they plan to add a lot more to it, so it might get more tolerable and useful. Hell it's only 3 weeks in the making (publicly that is). But I do agree with you; boring, unintuitive and stupid are words I would use to describe it thus far.
