Seriously. My mom always told me that, but I'm not buying it. Give me a good reason that doesn't involve the bible or karma or any religious baggage.
I often wish people ill will. Evil bosses or just random assholes alike I wish they'd burn to death in a house fire or have their moms raped by wild mustangs.

You're very similar to me. People are wankers.

Because harboring ill feelings against people is bad for your own health as well. Some people do this to a point where their own anxieties and depression become a barrier to normal living. Also, it is impossible most of the time to realize why the other person, the one you want burned to death, did whatever they did. There are 2 sides to every story and people can rationalize almost anything. Cleansing yourself of these ill feelings will help keep you healthier and happier. Life is too short to hold anger. The best thing to do is to acknowledge your anger as it does have a right to be present, realize there is nothing you can do to change the other person at the moment, wish them well and let it go.

I do need to add that sometimes it can take a long time to get to a recovery phase and everyone is different.

Whenever someone upsets me or does something bad I like to do one of 2 things. Either realize how insignificant their actions really are in life and disregard it or worry it to death. To worry it to death is too just imagine in your own mind what is the absolute worst thing that can happen as a result of that persons actions. 99% of the time, you will realize at the end it really nothing to sweat about and life goes on.

What govegan said. Besides if someone affected you to the point they are occupying your thoughts to the negative that much, well hell they already one so might as well call the game decided, so to speak.

It reminds me of a line in a Bronx Tale, the main character is pissed about someone dodging him on $20 bucks that he is owed. Well the local gangsta, whatever, tells him hey, you got off cheap, it only cost you $20 to find out he wasn't your friend.

That's all very well if you're stressed or depressed about it.
Personally, I'm not. I just accept that the world is full of dickheads and wish them short lives.

                    1. I feel you bro.

                    2. Be kind, for everyone is fighting a hard battle -Plato.

It means we all have our own struggles that we are all engaged in, because that is what life is, and everyone deals with it differently. Be kind because even those whom you hate are likely acting the way they are because of their own struggle. We are all engaged in the ongoing struggle that is life, some just deal with it by being bigger deusches than others.

One thing that might help is too look at where your at now and realize that it took the actions of many loving, though not perfect, people to get you there. Also understand that our minds love to focus on the negative. For every person that cut you off on the road, there were probably 5 who slowed down so you could change lanes! Bad metaphor but I am still on my first cup of coffee

                          exactly
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

I'd make a lousy Jedi, but I'd be a great Sith.

                              Do you need a hug?!?!

On another note, check out the new Flogging Molly - Speed Of Darkness. It might just be the best album they've done yet! Real dark, but so true. You could relate to it pretty well. Also, one song is a duet with Brigett and Dave. Good stuff.
