The states aren't banned, rather Northerner has not been able to collect and distribute taxes to those states so they don't take orders from them - at least that is my understanding of the situation.

I think my answer is more correct than yours Whalen, but maybe I'm wrong. I think Iowa, SD, etc. can still order from Sweden. Not sure what your situation is in MD, but surely there must be a workaround

Not sure i can explain it correctly but here goes (if some one wants to correct/add to this feel free).
When PACT act started three states went a step further and said you can not ship tobacco into the state at all because they do not get taxes from sale. Iowa was one of them. Northerner will not ship to Iowa because of that.
That is the short version.

There is a shop about 50 minutes drive from home that sells some General so that's what i have most of. I can buy from Northerner, if i have it sent to someone in different state then they mail it to me. Or i can order from Sweden.

Hope that explains it a little.

This somewhat confirms my explanation above. Better to order from Sweden anyway, better prices, faster shipping, no obnoxious labels, no taxes (I do of course report and pay the taxes myself to my fine state), etc. etc.
