    WWII Battle Reenactment Russia

I thought this photo set was kind of neat. I have a certain vision of the WWII era that looks older than things do now. I picture everything in B&W, and /maybe/ Kodachrome, but it all has a kind of old look to it, with a soft focus, and not like something you'd see now.

If you ignore the spectators in these shots, these pictures give a more realistic feel of what things must have looked like. Not the crazy masses of troops, but the vivid colors, and sharp definition. It makes it all seem more real instead of the abstract view you get from old media...

Good stuff. I'm impressed with the amount of running/operable Russian and German vehicles/hardware they have!

God, english Russia always has the best content. They are one of the best blogs on the net! It's amazing to thing about being in WWII, like you LX I see it in sepia tone, but I am sure it was all too real at the time. Imagine seeing all the new high tech war technology too, that was brand new to people back then! Seeing all the tanks and airplanes when they first got fielded. Insane!
