I haven't seen the clip, nor do I really care to, but imitating other languages isn't racist goddamnit, it's just plain fun. If you disagree, try it.

Yeah, I was down in a small town in WA state this past summer. I made a purchase at a grocery store and the checkout clerk asked..."y'all want a sack wit dat?" The wife and I looked at each other and went....'sure'. The clerk then put our items in a bag. OHHHHH she meant bag. You americans and your accents and dialects eh?

Lol, yah the dialect changes dramatically depending on what region you are in. CA is more like "international english", in that you could show up to a business meeting and speak normally and it would be seen as approppriate. Much of the south (and other parts) are very different. We can't even agree on what to call soda. Some call it pop, soda, and some call it "coke" even if you are ordering a pepsi! It's insanity, how have we survived this long!

Typical -- leave it up to a local to say they don't have an accent! Let's see what the Brits have to say about your "California International English" comment lol

@sgreger.That's funny dood. Same up here. Out here on the west coast of Canada, well I think we sound pretty much like you Cali folks. I know cuz i did an 8 month stint in Santa Monica. As for my countrymen out east.....the accent and dialect is probably about as different as you and someone from the deep south. We all call it pop though...never soda, unless you want a.... soda (like club soda).......most of us (the ones worth their salt anyway) think Pepsi sucks! Cheers, i'm off to the vending machine to buy a coke.

Nay, the distance between us cannot divide us for long, as I too prefer coke over pepsi! lol

Canadian city-folk sound just like everyone else to me, not much of a dialect. Would be funny to pit an america redneck from alabama against a rural canadia equivalent. Record the whole thing and make a guessing game out of it, whoever figures out what they are trying to say first wins.

@ Frosted: No one cares what the brits think about our english. They can collectively eat a bowl of dicks!

I have one word for our Canadian friends.........aye

btw, I think rush did a fine job with his imitation choysuey chant.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

I call BS. When Rush mocked N. Korea president where was all the fuss? This is nothing but a typical liberal move that backfires and makes the target even more prominent in the eyes of the public, making more people tune into his show, and making him more millions of dollars..... stupid liberals. You dont vilify the figurehead with points that go against the normal thinking of society in general. They bash him for being a drug addict... he goes on air and apologizes to his audience.... the liberals thought they won, but Rush got more popular than ever! Why? Because people can relate to being bashed for something like that. I mean Rush didn't call anyone a nappy headed ho! He just made a funny imitation of Chinese that turned out to be just to be a bad imitation of Chinese since it wasn't even funny. In other words he made a bad joke. Ho hum who cares move on.

How many times have you seen a Saturday night live episode where a politicians speaking style is mocked mercilessly? So if that politician is Asian and doesn't speak English, then and ONLY THEN its suddenly racist? Has America become a bunch of retarded wimpy morons who cant laugh at anything anymore? What happened to peoples sense of humor? Has it always been this way, no one thinks anything is funny anymore? You can only crack a joke about something if you are that something? Well I am fat, and I think fat jokes are funny... I thought fat jokes where funny when I was thin... its a Fing joke people!

I come from Texas and people mock the way southerners speak all the time. No one gets offended unless the mocking is combined with a joke about ones mother, then someones getting a punch in the face.

I am so tired of the all the overly politically correct nonsense and reverse racism that its starting to piss me off.

Exactly. Why is it funny when Dave Chepelle does it, but not when some fat old white guy does it? More importantly, why do some take offense whenn one does it, but not another?

I think everyone should constantly joke about other's religions, politics, accents, race etc. We all need to learn to laugh more, to laugh at our differences. This whole "I caught you faking a chinese accent!" thing is stupid.

Besides all that, it's Rush. Really, what the hell do you expect?! It would be inappropriate if Obama did it, but not a partisan political commenter.
