It looks like the Black Rock Desert. You should put on a Chinese version of the Burning Man festival.

I'm no fan of the Chinese government, but I'm not sure you can pin the drought on them. How they handle the drought certainly, but there isn't much we can do about the weather.

I don't think so. I believe he's using the forum as an outlet for political speech. While he may not be interested in tobacco, I'm for giving a repressed population a sounding board. At least it's in the right section, and it's a nice break from the constant barrage of American politics :^D

Yah I'm oddly down with his awesome radio-free-Snuson messages of freedom broadcast from within the confines of the last real communist stronghold.

But government policies can perhaps even affect the weather - i.e., US 1930's dust bowl - https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikiped...wiki/Dust_Bowl Read the "Future Dust Bowls" section on China - +1,000,000 million acres of new desert a year might affect the weather.
It looks like lack of rainfall combined with deforestation. That, compounded with polluted water isn't leaving enough water for crops. Chinese are big on building dams. It wouldn't surprise me if the impoundments caused a change in micro-climates, and that ended up affecting larger areas.

It's a refreshing change from the Tea Party, Nazi and UFO talk.

Posting here has "google significance",not only “to let out your frustrations”.

Cool! I always though posting here meant I was trying to zone out after a long day at work and kill time. Now I find out it also has google significance! Will you look at that.

Eh I guess that's true when I look for stuff like odd brands of snus that no longer exist snuson pops up and I get threads with people wondering what kinds of snus were like left unanswered.
