Your Zodiac sign may have changed....

    http://gawker.com/5732115/your-zodia...yline=true&s=i

Astronomers have restored the original Babylonian zodiac by recalculating the dates that correspond with each sign to accommodate millennia of subtle shifts in the Earth's axis. Prepare to have your minds blown, all you people with easily blowable minds.

Here is the zodiac as the ancient Babylonians intended it—with the dates corresponding to the times of the year that the sun is actually in each constellation's "house"—according to the Minnesota Planetarium Society's Parke Kunkle:

    Capricorn: Jan. 20-Feb. 16.
    Aquarius: Feb. 16-March 11.
    Pisces: March 11-April 18.
    Aries: April 18-May 13.
    Taurus: May 13-June 21.
    Gemini: June 21-July 20.
    Cancer: July 20-Aug. 10.
    Leo: Aug. 10-Sept. 16.
    Virgo: Sept. 16-Oct. 30.
    Libra: Oct. 30-Nov. 23.
    Scorpio: Nov. 23-29.
    Ophiuchus:* Nov. 29-Dec. 17.
    Sagittarius: Dec. 17-Jan. 20.

    * Discarded by the Babylonians because they wanted 12 signs per year.

I was born a Virgo, and because that's the shittiest sign in the zodiac, I have long refused to believe in astrology and forbid my loved ones from believing in it, either. (My anal retentive need to destroy an entire worldview because I do not like my role in it is, I am told, part of my Virgo nature.) If I'm really a Leo, though, who knows. So I was a Cancer....now I'm a Gemini.

    And WTF is an Ophiuchus?

If Internet buzz is any indication, you've probably already heard there was a new addition to the zodiac family today: Ophiuchus.

The new sign, represented by a serpent tamer, was brought to light by a recent news report that we've been observing zodiac signs incorrectly for centuries because of the moon's gravitational pull. Read more on that here.

With that revelation came the introduction of Ophiuchus, an astrological entity discarded by the ancient Babylonians because they only wanted 12 signs. According to this new zodiac method, Ophiuchus is the sign for those born between Nov. 29 and Dec. 17.

The sign is associated with healing, enlightenment, medicine and higher education -- and also with black holes. That's oddly coincidental, given this discovery announced Wednesday.

WTF? I refuse to believe that I'm a... Aries? LIES! I've been told LIES my whole F'N life that I was a Taurus?!?!?!

This is like raising a kid for 20 years only to find out it was never yours on it's 21st birthday.

How did I know you were a sagitarius? My dad's one, and you two are almost identical.

I think astrology and daily horoscopes are BS, but it appears that people born at different times of the year do seem to share similar traits. Might be something to it, and it might just be the human brain making an association where none exists.

I don't see how venus being at the end of it's "cycle" affects Joe Human down here on earth, but I suppose anythings possible.

been a Gemini and will always be one.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.
