I think he has a legitimate insanity defense. Assuming it isn't a VERY elaborate ruse, if he gets death, then it's just more proof for the pile our legal system is a sham.

Not a rebel. Had no message. Only ramblings. He shot children, had no remorse. Was crazy. America has over 300 million people, i'm surprised we don't see this more often.

I am VERY pro-death penalty, but from my understanding, this kid was very noticably insane, had been posting his whacko manifesto shit on the net for a while before actually doing it, and was missed at every checkpoint. The guy got kicked out of everything, and denied for everything, EVEN THE ARMY. The guy was a problem everywhere he went and no one caught it I guess. But the guy is mental. If he is truly insane, than no we should not kill him. If he's just some weird kid who did that, than hang him in the town square for sure.

I don't think it's right that insane people are given special treatment. I don't care if he is insane, he did this, and should have been swinging from a public gallows the next day.
