Hate to burst your bubble and I admit that I am not too familiar with rodents..but I think your squirrel is actually a chipmunk. It's still cute though...

It's got the chipmunk markings, but a bushy tail like a squirrel. Maybe it's one of those Chernobyl chipmunks :^D

That's awesome! Where would you find a squirrel like that? Around here, they're almost 100% grey, but there's a couple very localized colonies of black squirrels. I prefer the black ones, but that might be lack of familiarity. I went 25 years without knowing squirrels around here came in any color other than grey, so it's a little more special seeing them. The black is a striking color though :^)

The photo says India.
In Washington, the most common squirrels are the Western Gray Squirrel:
... and the Eastern Gray Squirrel:
Washington has other squirrels too... Douglas Squirrel, Red Squirrel, Northern Flying Squirrel, Fox Squirrel, Washington Ground Squirrel, and California Ground Squirrel.
But the ones pictured are the most common in the city.

black squirrels are carnivorous. they will attack your pets in packs. beware!
Do they really eat meat, or were they just trying to piss your dog off?
One time, I tossed a piece of food to a squirrel (I think it was a piece of hamburger meat)... It ran up to the meat, and did exactly what precious007's squirrel did. So, I gave it a cracker with peanut butter instead, and it took the cracker and ate it.
The squirrels in Washington are very adapted to humans, and if you offer them a treat, they will gladly take it.

O.k., I'm pro-marriage as a religious institution. To me it's a sacrament. I don't necessarily agree with the author that the state needs to be removed...
Do you know what I find interesting? Nicotine; of course everyone here knows about its addictive nature but, what I find interesting is that ..well...all...
