It says 1.5 billion in revenue but it doesnt list what the margins are for that. I doubt this is anything to do with CVS wanting to be "healthy" and more of the fact that they don't make any money off of it. How often do you say I need some tobacco lets go hit the cvs? They might get people that buy it while they are in there picking up meds but they don't have the customers coming back for it like gas stations do.

Yeah I think this is more of a matter of them not making enough money from it. They can't overprice the shit out of it like everything else in their stores.

CVS's name and logo is the actual reason I don't go there. Drug stores are the same, so you have to discriminate on something. No tobacco, and a crappy name are as good as any.
