E-Cigs to Quit Snus????

I am just waiting to see some ask about using cigarettes to get off the nicotine patch.

It seems to me that most any other N delivery would be better than inhaling N laden smoke or vapor as the quick delivery would raise BP considerably faster than the slower nic release from snus.... we've seen the graphs here..........

if you are already on meds for BP then keep using 8 mg or less snus and adjust your meds until it gets to where your doctor wants the BP. The meds to control your blood pressure are extremely safe...and cheap. So you need a tad higher dose. That's fine. Remember that snus also has a relaxing effect but the nic raises your BP. Strike the happy medium by adjusting you meds a bit. Worked for me.
or just quit tobacco altogether and go nucking futs.Last edited by Premium Parrots; 29-03-14, 04:33 AM.

E-cigs is a great way to go.Last edited by Ansel; 29-03-14, 04:21 AM.

Get yourself some 24 or 16/18 mg to start with, and work your way down. 6 mg is quite low, but could work, if you have some will power. I'm sorry to hear about your health problems.
I could probably quit snus with vaping, since I like it so much. But 6 mg's is extremely low - I would vape my ass off with that, and if I was trying to quit tobacco, I would go high and then lower the dosage gradually.Last edited by heders; 29-03-14, 04:11 AM.

it also just occurred to me that 6% solution is roughly 60mg/ml. my 35mg/ml is sold as 3.5% solution.
check this site out if you're really interested in e-cigs: http://www.vtvapor.com
they make solutions in 0%, 1%, 2% and 3.5% and the stuff is tasty.

There is also nicotine-free snus. That might help better than e-cigs, when you are quitting snus habit.

The Halo kit you bought is almost exactly like this kit
http://www.ecigarettechina.com/bests...b-charger.html
wow this outfit is offering free shipping now. I guess they were losing too much of their business to Fastech. lol
I like this cheap kit because the battery is variable voltage and quite shorter than all the "twist" variable voltage batteries. The clearomizers are cheap but once you get started and learn more you may eventually end up with one of the brands of protanks, which are glass and preform much better than the clearomizers. Most everybody starts out with clearomizers. Whether you end up using the clearomizers or the protanks you will need several around for different juices. I usually keep about 10 different flavors in 10 different rebuildable protanks. The clearomizers seem to burn out quicker so they don't last too long. If you need more clearomizers let me know, I over bought when I started and have quite a few of the Iclear 16's THAT ARE BRAND NEW which are dual coil and rebuildable. I switched over to protanks and don't need the Iclears anymore. It was a big investment for the protanks. ;(
I try to buy 0 nicotine juice but my favorite juices are from Alien Visions and the lowest nic they offer is 6 mg. I never feel the nic. I mostly vape in the evening and mostly for the taste and for something to do.
Check out the trading thread in the vape forum. I'm pricing my xtra stuff at a loss even tho its new. I overbought when I first started vaping. ;(

I just started using an e-cig myself a few weeks ago. I find the problem with the e-cigs is that the damned thing doesn't stop you from vaping 3-4 cigs worth of liquid in one sitting, so I'm plowing through the 35mg/ml stuff without even realizing it until I get a wicked case of the spins and my heart starts pounding.
Your plan of eventually switching to nic-free liquid may work for getting rid of nicotine dependency though.
You could always try hitting the mini portions too, if I remember properly most have about half as much nicotine than the regular size.
here's an article pertaining to a study: http://www.theaggie.org/2013/10/24/s...an-cigarettes/

E-Cigs to Quit Snus????
Just wanted some thoughts. I've been diagnosed with hypertension, bp was 150/100, and have decided to step away from tobacco.
I figured vaping a very low dose e liquid then moving to nicotine free liquid may help the best.
I purchased a nice ecig, Halo Triton, and a couple bottles of 6% nic e-juice. Lowest they had.
What do y'all think?Tags: None
