Hi MaNiAc - the bit where it states "Pax is only available to be shipped to US or Canada addresses at this time." didn't put you off then? I don't think I'm going to order a $250 product with that kind of disclaimer in place.
And thanks for the kind offer desirexe - I'm sorry I didn't see it last time I checked this thread. I may be looking down that route soon if nothing is forthcoming through the official channels. But I would like to see a less isolationist approach from Ploom if I am going to be one of their users otherwise I will have a technological product with next to no support in case it goes wrong! And I'm not stupid.
Their replies here have shown me that despite being a small, innovative, independent company - Ploom's desire to be seen as a bigger faceless corporate entity is so real that they even start up their business with the kind of answers and customer service you only normally get from Apple or dare I say it, Northerner in the last year or so.
I find that very sad ... companies destined for great things can only really bring that amazing personal touch early on in their existence - but that is what generally makes their product go viral because they have very dedicated, enthusiastic .. even evangelical first adopters to spread the buzz. I can't see Ploom doing anything to help that happen here. And I truly believe that they have the product to go viral with the Pax.
End of Rant
