I was a vaper for several months, I had a screwdriver mkII and a 5v passthrough. I used to make my own juices using glycerine from the chemist and dionised water from the garage, i just had to add nicotine solution and flavourings. The DIY element of vaping can be quite fun. It does work really well when you get something that works for you, but it's an expensive hobby to get up and running. Having had experience of both vaping and snus, it's snus for me every time now.

If you are thinking of giving vaping a go, most vapers will tell you to start with the eGo/tornado (same model). It's the best introduction to ecigs bar none. As to where to get it, I'm sure there are plenty of sites in the US. I used the UK equivalent site of Liberty Flights. Everything is reasonably priced, and a great starter kit is here Joye eGo

I also suggest you have a browse on ECF, the main e-cig/vaping forum.

Mind BLOWN. I also went from ecigs to snus. I've used just about every type of ecig available, made my own juices and craploads of mods but I never even thought about doing that! Talk about coming full circle...

Yup, of the multitude of methods by which to obtain nicotine that I've tried: cigarettes, pipe, cigars, patches, gum, Oliver twist, nasal snuff, ecigs... Snus is by far the most enjoyable, and...bar nasal snuff, and NRT (which isn't designed to be enjoyed) the safest. Plus I don't have to do much fiddling around or go outside or try to be discrete to enjoy it. It truly is the business!

I saw this video awhile back. I liked the novelty of vaporizing a portion, but it seems much easier to just pop her in the upper lip.

I have some 3 Mg/g Oomph Menthol Snus that would be perfect for vaping using the Tropical Bob method. All I need to know is which device to get to try it

I tried it in various devices, ecigs and herbal vapes and it was just foul. And I have vaped all sorts in the 3 years I have been using ecigs. There are much better sources of nicotine to vape, and Snus is best taken as intended IMHO. Each to their own.

I was gonna search ecf for you to see if I could find you a useful thread but I see you've already been there and posted the question. Give it some time and maybe someone with some experience will reply. If not, I'd PM TropicalBob and ask him to suggest the best setup to start out with as I'm sure he can steer you right. I have some ideas but since I've never tried vaping portions I'll leave it to the master....

Might try this as I already have the Joye. The problem I had with e-cigs was that straight nic didn't do it for me. Something was missing. I did some research and it seems that tobacco has MAO inhibitors in it. Interestingly enough, this has a significant affect on nictotine uptake. MAO inhibitors are prescribed for depression. Ever notice how many people with mental illness smoke? Anyways, I switched to snus and the cravings left. Also, e-cigs are alot less discreet and are more of a hassle to deal with in that you're always having to fill them. Just my 2 cents---
