New forums -- what about pipe smokers?

As the intention of this forum is for smokeless tobacco, snus in particular, I think all smokables should have been left simply in the "other tobacco products" section. Shouldn't even have a cigar section. Next we'll have a damn cigarette section . . .

You are absolutely right, Deeanne. Forgive us if we gents sometimes forget about you Ladies of the Briar. We shouldn't, as many women of distinction -- Gertrude Stein, Greta Garbo, and Angela Davis, among others -- were/are pipe smokers.

You do have a point Owens but, while cigars and pipes are considered as unique forms of tobacco, just as say....snus, a cigarette forum will never be allowed on SnusOn. We added that forum because we noticed that quite a few snus lovers also enjoy pipe smoking and fine cigars and we'd rather see the conversations centered around them kept in it's own forum rather than in the snus ones.

That's cool and everything, but putting pipe and cigar together like that, is kinda lame especially when you already split dip and chew. And why is there a cigar review section but no pipe?

You guys need to decide. Either you put everything in a big bucket, or make a proper place for the different varieties of tobacco enjoyment. Or just kill cigars and pipe.

That's the best thing about a new section. Getting feedback from the members that are going to use it! We are in the process of just beginning to put this section in so, that's why it really doesn't look.....well......right. Unfortunately, we don't have a "Sandbox" to see how the changes look prior to putting them in the live forum so, you're seeing it as Ice and I create it. Once the section is complete, we'll let everybody know. But I do agree with you Mr. S, it's got to be sections for all or nothing at all and we think we're leaning towards sections for all.
