I got the sample pack and felt it was worth every penny i spent for it Ended up smoking a couple of bowls of one of the blends that wasnt too foul smelling. iirc there was even a pina colada flavored tobacco imo altadis aromatics are not to be tossed aside lightly, they should be thrown with great force.

I received these sample packs about two weeks ago, haven't had the opportunity to try and I doubt I will as smoking in any form doesn't really interest me. Although, I have entertained the idea of picking up a corn cob pipe in the event I'm ever drunk enough where it would.
3 1.5 oz bags, here are the descriptions for those interested:

wild cherry-toasted black cavendish and virginia with a sweet cherry flavoring

fox and hound-a traditional mix of red virginia, turkish, burley, latakia and perique

blue note- burley, virginia and green river tobaccos with a delightful aromatic top flavor

fox and hound sounds pretty interesting. Could just be a bunch of tobacco dregs mixed together though.
I am with you on the smoking thing, I keep a corncob in my liquor cabinet for those moments when I just need to sit on the front porch and glare at my obnoxious neighbors while smoking. Those moments generally happen when I am pretty well potted.

Keep in mind that im not an aromatic fan, iirc fox and hound was the only one of the bunch that even merited a second bowl.

I got a small pouch of that Fox & Hound stuff at a local retailer a few months ago just to tide me over in a pipe tobacco emergency, and as one who prefers English blends and dislikes most aromatics, I found it not great but acceptable. I'd give it a C-

But I have liked some other Altadis blends I've bought in bulk, and found them good value for the money. Their Balkan II blend is a nice stout smoke at a reasonable price for the confirmed English/Latakia smoker, for example. I see they asked me to choose aromatic or English as a preference. Good. Anything remotely English style will make me happy.

lol, there is that. Although I remember reading a while back that PACT would not affect pipe tobacco (or cigars). Is that still the case? I really haven't kept up with it.

Cigars are exempt; pipe tobacco isn't.
