One of the other reasons I don't take snuff regularly (apart from my sinusitis) is because I always get nicotine overdose from snuffing and snusing at the same time...

Has anyone ever done a nic level graph for snuff? I know there is one with snus where it shows levels over 1 hour 2 hours etc.

Let me check with some local drug stores.
I haven't heard of it though.
Update: I think it's banned, there's no pharmacy selling mucinex in Romania... and I can't seem to find any medication using the active substance either.
I don't want to make this a 'sinusitis' thread but since we brought this up:
What worked for me was: Sinupret, Olynth to clear up the nasal & sinus infection, Paracetamol Sinus and I rarely have used the Neti Pot.
For people with sinusitis that smoke: It simply busts your sinuses up! When I used to smoke 1 - 2 packs a day it was a lot worse.

precious... sounds like what you need is a decongestant:
"A decongestant is a medication used to relieve nasal or chest congestion.
People most often have nasal or chest congestion due to the common cold,
flu or allergies.
Technically speaking, decongestants constrict the blood flow in the area of
congestion. That then decreases swelling and clears the congested area,
usually nasal passages.
This is why decongestants help clear out congestion and allow you to
breathe more easily."
Mucinex = Guaifenesin:
"Guaifenesin is used to relieve chest congestion . Guaifenesin may help
control symptoms but does not treat the cause of symptoms or speed
recovery. Guaifenesin is in a class of medications called expectorants.
It works by thinning the mucus in the air passages to make it easier
to cough up the mucus and clear the airways."
Natural Decongestants and Expectorants
Decongestants, Information about Decongestants
"Decongestant nasal sprays and nose drops may cause a problem called
rebound congestion if used repeatedly over several days. When this happens,
the nose remains stuffy or gets worse with every dose. The only way to stop
the cycle is to stop using the drug. The stuffiness should then go away within
about a week. Anyone showing signs of severe rebound congestion should
see a doctor."

(in each extended-release
bi-layer tablet)
Guaifenesin 600 mg...............................Expectorant
Pseudoephedrine HCl 60 mg...........Nasal Decongestant
Mucinex® D Works wonders and is completley different than the Mucinex you get over the counter.. You need to show your drivers license and sign for it at the pharmacy counter...

Paparocket the Toque special offer of 10 small tins for under 20 bucks may not be free but it is a super deal and almost any ten Toque choices would be a fine introduction to the world of snuffing. Also that's enough snuff to last you several months at least, probably longer if you store the tins well sealed in Ziplocks. Tough to beat the nic-per-dollar ratio with snuff.
