    Nasal snuff as los snus

    I've done similar before.

Anyone else tried this? It actually works well.

Take some dry nasal snuff, and add just enough water to give it a consistancy of los snus, and then bake it, and use it just like los snus.

I was sitting here at work with a little 10g tub of Dholakia Sparrow Cool, and for what reason I don't know, I have not been getting on well with nasal snuff at all, it really has been messing up my sinuses and throat, so I poured some of this in my hand and added some water, and formed a prilla, and stuck in in snus-style.

It's really not bad, apart from some mudslide, but that can happen with regular snus.

The cool menthol isn't bad, and I am getting a nic effect.

    Might be something to try.

I have dipped scotch snuff before, but for me, it seemed the only way to keep it somewhat in place was right in the bottom front, and I try to avoid that area, as it seems my weakest gum area. But adding some water, and baking a prilla for up top does hold well, and I haven't needed to spit. Plus I have all this nasal snuff I've collected, and not sure if I can use it nasally anymore.

This makes a certain amount of sense because, I think I read somewhere, it is believed that snus originated when Swedes started adding water and salt to nasal snuff for oral use.

I still occasionally dip some scotch snuff but haven't mixed it with water. I like it the way it is.

Also, I use a small spoon to place it in my lower lip as opposed to trying to pinch it.

This just sounds like a bad idea.

It seems like it would just slide EVERYWHERE. lol

            It's such a fine grind.

              I was never a dipper and I'm not a big fan of snus (although I do like).....so, I guess I shouldn't bother.

I have to admit, I haven't got up the balls to try this yet.
