Our boys and girls overseas need some help

This thread came up today at the ECF

    http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/for...ys-mommas.html

This is a mom of with a military son in the middle east. You can read the thread to get up to speed. Basically she is looking for people to send nasal snuff to a soldier in Iraq.

This thread has come to life because I sent my son who is in Iraq (he is Army Infantry) some snuff. He wants to quit smoking before he comes home and he also had complained about having to get dressed at night in order to go out and have a smoke. He had tried a e-cig but says that where he is messing with the liquid and the carts is just to much trouble.
So I sent him some snuff and snus to try.
I got a very entertaining description of the first package, it seems everyone was having some snuff, some of them were having too much snuff, but out of that so far has come three young men who really like the snuff....

And so the first phase of snuff daddy/momma was born. Those participating in phase one have their adopted sons and are sending them snuff to try.

I am of course the snuff momma to my own son.

Yesterday three packages were sent out to Iraq so phase one of the Snuff Daddy/Momma is inroute. I heard this morning that they are very excited about this and they are running low on snuff already.

I would ask all the snuff Daddy'S who want to post to use only the first name of your snuff son and do not post the address of the person you are sponsoring.

Thanks to all who are participating and thanks to those who have asked to participate, as we get more names I will make a post saying there is a snuff/snus son available for adoption.

So far we have adopted out Anthony and John both are Infantrymen serving in Iraq, both are combat vets. Both smoke and would like to cut down and/or quit.

There's a nasal snuff box pass going on and at the end, I'd like the box to go to this cause rather than return to me. I'm gonna update that in the box pass thread.

How do we get the address of a solider to ship it out?

        Mike

        Edit:

LaZeR.....You da Man!!.....Stubby,Thanks for transfering this thread we started over at ECF to this site! This is really a great opportunity to give something back to these fine fellas keeping us safe overseas. A few of us at ECF have care packages on the way already....but more snuff is needed. These guys have to obey the same smoking laws(and then some),that smokers here in the USA do.The snuff is helping them get the nicotine they need without having to gear up in the middle of the night to head outside. Who knows.....could be a few converts there that give up smoking completly. Sage,Monkey......thanks for joining in.....I hope a few more of our snuff brothers here will get on board!

I would think the Command would not like the boys sniffing up powder in their nose.

Tom....No issues so far from the "Top" frowning on these fellas using snuff......I'm sure it's a preferred method over Smoking and using Dip as alot of them do.....as long as it's Brown Powder...LOL!

As I try and remember back when I was in the Navy, I was a smoker then, and they sold cigs out of the snack machine on my ship, with chips and stuff, I think they were 75 cents. But I was not into dip back then at all, and I have no rememberance of anyone dipping, and of course no one snuffing nasally.

Can someone let me know how can I help? As a producer I've never got involved with pass boxes, but this is a most worthy cause.

I am the mom from the other forum who is sort of responsible for all this. I was telling the story of my son's first package of snuff and how much it was enjoyed by all and it has led to this endeavor.

We have 1 soldier that no one has signed up for yet. I have gotten sponsers for 3 others today and since kicking this off we have now gotten sponsers for 7 total.

I am expecting more names on monday.

Please let me know if you are interested in helping out a soldier. I wil do my best to check in here daily. My work has been crazy this past week and will be so next week as well.

                        Thanks all

Well we have one NCO sponsored so far (and he is excited about snuff) and I have heard of no complaints regarding command being upset about it. A lot of these guys smoke and they smoke more than normal over there, boredom and stress is a combination that leads to more smoking. Cigarettes are dirt cheap.
Many of them feel they need the nicotine to releve stress but do not like smoking or they get in to places where they cannot smoke, imagine riding around in a Stryker all night, wondering if you are going to run over a explosive device and being unable to smoke. A small tin of snuff in the pocket can get you through situations like this.
My son's squad has been providing security for others who are building a school, they have to stay alert and they cannot smoke but having a snus is something that helps with the stress and lasts for some time, they can stick one in and stay alert and still get their nicotine fix.
Also after a long day, befoe retiring they have to get dressed get up and walk some distance to have a smoke, with snuff or snus they can partake in their tent while relaxing.
There are no restictions on them using snuff or snus that I am aware of. All the reports I am getting is that they are using it and really liking it, many of them have never heard of snuff.
