Nasal Snuff Storage

How long can an open can last without losing its freshness? Should I put them in the freezer with my snus or is there a better way to keep my nasal snuff fresh?

I have open cans that have sat out on my desk for a year and they are exactly the same as when I opened them a year ago. I suspect that snuff is so dry, there is nothing left for it to lose. The cans are closed of course.but No special handling seems to be required. .

I have heard reports that it can last fine for years and years. Given how big my collection is, I kinda hope that is true

I have a few sitting out, closed of course. I also have 2 cigar boxes, and 2 plastic containers with lids I store them in. More with the idea of containing them than keeping them "fresh".

Looks like sometime possibly later this year when I "tie the knot" I'll have to bury mine underground. I'll let you know how that goes. :x
