Need some info

I am sure I could just wonder around here and find out exactly what I need to, but I am lazy and have 3 kids I am fighting with so:

What exactly is nasal snuff? I understand it goes in your nose, but are the flavors just for smelling and does the smell last a good while in your nose? What exactly is the point of the flavors? How often do you use it? How is it stored? Can you snus and use nasal snuff too?

I have sinus problems will this be an issue for me if I do use nasal snuff?

Oh and what is tobacco bites? The Oliver Twist more specifically?

One educated answer is all I need unless you have more to add. I am very curious about these products and want to know more.

The Oliver Twist are little pellets of rolled tobacco. Very small, like a BB almost. I had the Original, and while it had a decent taste, I did not like it based on the shape size, like a little BB in your mouth, or in your gum.

Nasal snuff is usually finely ground tobacco, often with flavors, or scents, and sometimes with menthol, which gives a cool nose opening(and then sometimes closing) effect.

The idea is to just take a controlled sniff of it, not a snort into the lungs, but just into the nose. The effect is that the nicotine is absorbed in the nose, and the scent can be lasting for various amounts of time, depending on the snuff.

Storage is usually just anywhere. Some are a bit fanatical and using freezer bags in a freezer, but I read this is not a good way. I keep mine in a plastic container with a lid, but many are just left out.

It may affect your sinuses negatively, maybe not, some claim it helps with theirs. When I 1st used snuff, I had no problems, but later it seems to stop me up a bit. But I still snuff, I just can't do it non-stop in a row.

There is an incredible vast amount of different styles, types, scents.

I am addicted to nose spray. Well I go in cycles anyway. If I am the least bit stopped up I have to use it. Wonder what that would do if I used the nasal snuff and nose spray right after?

If your nose spray is something other than just saline water, you should quit it. It causes a rebound effect, and your nose stops up again requiring more nose spray....

OH lxskllr, I do know.

I used to be really bad about it, but I have been better. The dr described it to me. The use of the spray causes the blood vessels to swell up and the more you use the more they swell causing you to stop up. Grr, it is a bad thing.

I honestly am better about it. One bottle which is 1/2 an oz lasts me months now where it used to only last a couple of days :shock: so I think I am much better.

Poschl/Ozona are decent menthols, and can often be found in cigar shops. A good bet for your money is ordering from Toque direct.

They have alot of good non-menthols too. Like snus, it's something one just has to try themselves.

The 2 main US sellers are MrSnuff and Nicotine Rush.

Northerner has some too, if you wanted to order snus also. Wilsons of Sharrow is a good brand.

Easy snuffs, non-menthol, I'd say are the Wow!, Temptation, and Blast brands.

Dholakia Swiss Choclate is a popular one too.

Thank you. You still might wanna order some of the others suggestions. You can't judge snuff on just one kind. I sent you a Toque, can't remember which one. You should def. check out some menthol, to me it's easier to take. (even though I seem to be in the minority)
