Different reactions to snuff

I actually clicked on this thread just as I opened my HDT. Just try pinching it out of the container. Get it so most of the snuff is firmly between your fingers (don't have a big clump sitting on top in between them), and put it up to your nose. Slowly open your grip on the snuff while breathing in gently. Works fine for me.

Actually a firm little slap of the bullet onto the palm of your hand and then using this method is working a charm. Thanks :wink:

On my current bullets I believe only the bottom(s) screw off and then I end up dumping out more than I intend to and/or making a mess.

Is there a list somewhere with the properties of particular snuffs? As in grind, moisture, toast/not toast, etc?

I'm wondering because I know, for example, that some Toques are toasts and some aren't, but no idea how to tell which is which *before* I buy. Seems like F&T is the same way -- a variety of snuff types under one label.

Go to snuffhouse.org they have some articles on different types of snuff, an also a lot of discussions about it. Websites where you can buy snuff usually have some descriptions too.

As for Toque, obviously snuffs with toast in the name, such as Lime Toast or Natural Toast are toasts. Bourbon, Whiskey and Honey, and Toast and Marmalade are also toasts.
