Hey why not...it is just a subgroup. If people aren't interested in snuff, there is a simple solution, don't open the thread. Originally I was against the idea because what would be next??? A "dip" subgroup? "Pipe?" "Cigar?" I'm pretty anti-american dip, but I wouldn't be against a subgroup, I would just simply not open it. My two cents...Tobacco On!!!

Edit - I apologize, I just basically said what Mojo stated above me. oops..

The original concept of SnusOn was to discuss Swedish Snus but I guess it'd be down to the board owner Ice what he wants to do going forward.

for the record, i'm cool with diggin through the snuff thread. a forum would allow the discussion of more specific topics though. i vote it stays to just snus and nasal snuff if we actually get a snuff forum... cigars, dip, and pipes would complicate the hell out of it.

Having a poll is the best way to find out what the members here want. Let the poll run for a few days to see the results then Ice can make the final decision on this matter.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

The reason I'm not active on SnuffHouse or any other forum, for that matter, is because its easiest to do it all in one. Which is why I'm for the Snuff Subforum.

I'd convert to snuff to give my gums a much needed rest if I could ever get the hang of using it without it going straight down the back of my throat. Toque offer so many different tempting flavours and I'm always trying again and again to try and get it right :/

Use the sage method. He suggested it to me, and I do it everytime. It's perfect. Take a DEEP breath, like a hit of...... what? Oh, and then, breathe the snuff in lightly. Don't snort, but breathe it in lightly like you're just....breathing. It's very simple, and works every time.

Pris raised a good point. I’ve resisted raising my ugly mug above just watching as most would say I have a vested interest, however I think I can get away with saying a snuff forum would be a good thing for sharing knowledge.

Pris an easy way and one of my favourite methods of taking large pinches of snuff that works for beginner and old hand is to take as big a pinch as you can between thumb and forefinger, hold your breath and rub the snuff into either side of your septum. This method heightens the pleasure one gets from snuff as it exaggerates the nicotine and the flavours giving a rush of pleasure to the dopamine centres in the brain. Though I should point out, that you must build up to it gradually as the nicotine rush can cause palpitations.

If we had a forum within this forum we could share these tips more easily.

Pris, I get my finger wet, and just rub it in my nose. I read it in the nasal snuff thread. Works like a charm. And Roderick, I got my Toque order in, loving it!!!

I would have some concerns about the forum getting too wide ranging, but snuff is a very close cousin of snus, and they share many attributes, both in history and practical usage. For personal reasons that I won't get into, I won't post at Snuffhouse.org. If I talk about snuff, it'll be over here. I wouldn't mind seeing a sub forum on snuff, as many of us have interest, and snuff makes a nice addition to snus, even if it isn't ones primary tobacco form.

lol Mojo. I like Sage's point about our usage of snuff being much different than snuffers who don't snus. It helps to get tips on how to use the products together so we don't kill ourselves . As for the snuson site turning into a whole bunch of different tobacco sub-forums, that's not going to happen. Snus is a very niche product, and so is snuff. Like lxskllr said, they have a lot in common and it makes sense to be able to get each other opinions and tips on snuff.

I feel like if a subject on a forum is getting a lot of discussion, it should be categorized for ease of conversation. Any forum is about the sharing of ideas. I wouldn't have found this site if it wasn't for an e-cigarette-forum sub-group and I'm sure glad it was there. There are forums with way more sub-forums that are just as easy to navigate as this site with only a few. But of course, it's up to Ice to make that call. The site is his design and he can do whatever he wants with it. He's obviously done a kickass job thus far. It would just be easier for the snuffers if there was a place for discussion with the folks here.

                                Keep the votes coming.
