I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

Looks so similar to my last order. But I had a few F&T's too, plus my one Bernard
That was an order from toquesnuff.com so it only had Toque in it  I'm just glad I decided to try other ones when the first 4 I tried seemed so mild in "flavor" (raspberry, chocolate, vanilla, espresso). But the next order I made to them changed things when I put stuff like cherry menthol, pomegranate, spanish gem, and absinthe in the order. And the Coke is way up there too! They definitely made the nose pay attention! 8)

I always loved Jelly beans for their great sweet cocktails and now I have created snuff cocktails that you can mix at home.
Here are a few to be going on with.
Whoa...after looking at that long list of combos, I think I'm gonna need a few more smashboxes! hehe I think I have one empty one to start...let the mixing begin!

Starts looking through the list and carefully decides on the Macchiato. Tiny spoon is taken out and required ingredients are taken from the snuff safe-keeping box...

Oooooo, ok, I can tell I'm going to have to print that list out and do some mixing here. My Toque will never be the same now!

So I have noticed when using snuff that the way you take it makes a big difference on its effects and the enjoyment you get out of it.

I started off with a pea sized portion on the back of my hand and I would take that with each nostril. It worked good, but was a bit messy at times and I wasn't that great with how I would breathe it in. I then went to taking a pinch and sniffing it through each nostril while rubbing my fingers back and forth to break it up as I sniffed. That worked well, but I found I wasted a good amount of snuff when it would get stuck to the fingers and I didn't quite get the amount I wanted.

I have since went back to taking a pinch, a little larger than a pea, and placing it on the back of my hands. Now that I have a much better control over how I sniff, it works great. I get a much better "feel good" effect from the snuff, and it lasts a bit longer too. I think this is mainly because I have learned more control when sniffing.

                Anyone else have similar experiences?

I found this out last night when I tried some more Toque St. Clements. The finger pinch gave more burn because it breaks up and gets more "dusty". Where as the pinch on the back of the hand is more solid and isn't as spread out.

                Thanks,

                -Qor

I like taking moist snuffs(German style) off the back of my hand, and pinching dry snuffs(English style). I find I can control the dry snuffs better by pinching. I only get waste with the coarse/moist English styles. F&T Santo Domingo comes to mind. I have a harder time sniffing that properly, and many times it'll fall out of my nose :^D

I have tried every way, but long ago went with the nice little pile on the back of my hand. Just works best for me I guess. I control the amount based on what snuff it is. Some I can take massive hits and be happy...coke being a prime example. And some, I need to make it a very small hit. Toast and Marmalade being one like that.

Sure, it's a teeny bit messy, but I just keep sniffing until I have cleaned it all off my hand.
The fingers method works well with brand newbies who are still struggling the mastery of taking snuff. But ounce you are good with it, it just isn't nearly as satisfying as sniffing from my hand. Plus in public, I love the showmanship if pouring on my hand and sniffing. I am proud of my snuff use and like showing off.

I brought a tin of snuff to work today, Wilson(SA) Menthol. I just like menthols. I use the back of the hand method. I find it works best for me, and for controlling and amount.

Ok, folks. I've been poring over the Toque site, dreaming up what my next order will be. And I've finally noticed that they've just released a brand new variety of Toque: Cheese and Bacon.

                        Cheese, and Bacon.

                        CHEESE...............and BACON.

                        Up my nose, no less.

I feel shocked, and disgusted, and exhilarated and curious and compelled to put it on my list, all at the same time.

                        This is disconcerting.

Hey, Roderick, what's next? Lemon Curry?

The German schmalzlers traditionally used lard as the moistening ingredient. I think they all use paraffin based waxes now though.

"100% Natural Danish Blue and Ayrshire smoked bacon."
The Bleu cheese is pretty strong but now that mine has aged a little the bacon comes out a lot better. You definitely need some Peanut Butter to go along with it though.
