I wouldn't recommend the Poschl brands because they are very weak on nicotine.
Its not all about nic dude, poschl are great beginner snuffs as they are easy to take so you can get into it without being put off, lots of scents about (mostly with some menthol in though) so they are ideal for the beginner snuffer.

This, Red Bull packs one hell of a hit in the vitamin N department!
If hes not on it for the nic then by all means try Poschl because theyre easy to take.
Yeah, I am not really for the nicotine. I am more in it for the history and classiness surrounding snuff. Sounds like a fancy experience lol. And I am curious to try the perdessecor to snus
I feel that there are great mint snuses out there, but snuffing menthol sounds legit. I am going to try the bluberry menthol
It might sound like a funny question, but will snuff **** up my tolerance? Ie, when I go for sterk portions, after a while, thats all I can rly enjoy. Normal portions dont do it for me. It takes a week or two to switch back and be back to regular portions. If snuff is strong, I guess I will make it a monday morning kind of thing? much like sterks?
LOL I am a vegatarian. And cheese and bacon sounds kinda gross flavoring to tobacco...but I will take your word for it and try it out
ill have to look into poschl's later. I am going to order the snuffs this weekend. On a side note, does anybody have any exppericnes with "onico" portions? No nicotine in them. I stopped putting in portions before I sleep. They give me wierd dreams sometiems haha. I don't want to change the topic of the thread, but if anybody could shed some light on it, it would be nice
Where does the taste hit? In the back of your throat?
bluberry menthol, and cheese and bacon are so far on my order list. Imma look into poschl's for some lighter snuffs
Yea topdog. You're spot on about nicotine tolerance. With snus it's dead easy to adjust - it takes a couple of weeks but without any withdrawal from sterk to standard.
With snuff I wouldn't worry - at all. It's a different animal. It just gives you that hit for a couple of minutes and then it's gone. You're not sustaining as much nicotine as with snus.

If you're interested in the history aspect of snuff, give Wilson's Best SP a try. I think it's the oldest surviving snuff and has been made the same since like the early 1700's. I just got some yesterday and I can't stop snuffing it. I'm sure it's going to be my next bulk buy.
The Toque 10 for 9 suggestion is a good one as well. Maybe try a bit of each style - fruity, floral, toast, menthol to get an idea of which style you prefer. And try Quit or Natural for plain tobacco snuff. Also, hold on to any empty tins - they are good for loading up with snuffs you purchase in larger quantities later.

Yeah its a very intersting topic. I decided to quit snus a couple months back...no withdrawl. After a couple months I came back to it. I sometimes forget my tin at home when I go to school. I just think to myself "****" and think I won't be able to complete the day. But I do complete the day...pretty easily at that. May be my brain is just wired differently
But anyways, returning to the topic. Ya I think snuff sounds like a good "pick me up"
Best SP is a very fine snuff and quite hard to take. Finer snuffs give what seems to be a bigger kick too. It dries out very quickly and ends up extremely dusty.
I think from what you've been saying Poschl is the best bet for you - so long as you like menthol. Radford was very good. Due to the paraffin or whatever it is that Poschl is coated in it stays moist for ever - but it's this that diminishes the nicotine uptake.
All of the suggested post above are great.
Try the American Scotch snuffs, you can buy and try them local..
Tube rose is a good one....
Where can I get snuff locally? It was a pain to get snus locally. Nowdays I go to northerner most of the time. Local store only general white. No variation

Yeah I saw that just now. Its a great sales technique cuz it has me sold lol
I can't find wilson's best SP anywhere...
What really raised my eyebrow to snuff was that one of my friend said that it was insanely cheaper than dip or cigs. I was looking to save a little bit on my snus habit. It is already cheap. But variation with snuff and snus...
Those who like snuff seem to be snuff heads haha. So there must be something nice about it

ohhh that explains a lol. Wierd howo that works...finer snuffs are harder to take... but anyways, ill try this out
does snuff "hurt"
First time smoking weed, smoking cigs, drinking, dipping and even snusing the first time there is a burn, or nasty feeling that is usually experienced. IMO only the second or thid time in people start enjoying it
God made two kinds of dogs in this world. You are either a lap dog or a scent hound.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Nasal Snuff. I hope you will find this Guide both helpful and informative. I have tried to pool together information and resources that I have collected over my time using snuff so that you can have them all in one place. ...
Some froum the snusform.com may recal that I tried to contact Rocker regarding certain snus' being discontinued... well, I never heard back from them,...
