Is this Nasal Snuff? How To Use?

Okay. This is probably a really, really, really stupid question. Don't hate on me for it.

I went into Publix today and saw some snuff...

Before I try it out, I want to know if it is actually nasal snuff. lol

It says on the top...Copenhagen Snuff and it has a silver top, red and black label, and the bottom looks like cardboard. It says original fine cut. Would this be considered nasal snuff?

How should you do snuff for the first time and what to expect?

No, that's dip. It goes in your lip. Lower is traditional, but upper lip works too. It's nice. I bought a tin a few weeks ago. I don't like it as well as snus, but it's a nice change of pace. You could probably put it in your nose, but you're on your own with that :^D

I know that people down south have reported that Food Lion carries a huge selection of Dry snuff that is good in the nose. Publix may too if you know what your looking for. Hell up here in the suburbs of Chicago I can find W.E. Garrett sweet in the Osco. But yeah look for small vertical tubes with the name W. e Garret in either sweet or Scotch or tube rose or honeybee sweet snuff or Railroad Mills Scotch or sweet or rooster or Bruton. These are the most prevalent brands and you being from the South should be able to find one of them.....

Publix does not carry snuff

But many super markets do.


It will come in Sweet and Plain.


Start with a Navy Sweet, Tube Rose Sweet, or Honey Bee Sweet (you can try the plains later. They are great but are not where I would begin)

in the south just about any local supermarket will sell at least one brand of dry snuff. warning, any southern style dry snuff will blow your nose off if you are not used to it. rooster is infamous around here. when i was a kid we played with dry snuff. if one has never used any dry snuff and can toot rooster without having a sneezing fit they are either a real man or have PVC plumbed sinuses.

I've seen Tops plain in MD Food Lion. I haven't been there in awhile, but I've seen it before. That store was kind of weird. They had a few different Americans, but never the same ones. It's like the person in charge of ordering closed their eyes, and picked a few at random each time. Even more amazing was it sold. I don't who to, but they apparently moved a good bit of it.

In SC it seems that the Snuff is controlled through a local distributer…..in other words, the stores don’t order from the company ......I've tried to get them to order Tops and Rooster for me but the distributers don't stock it so the store can’t get it.

Next, time I pass through MA I’ll keep my eye out for it…..Thanks for the heads up

it has been a while since i even looked for rooster but they used to sell it here. I know for a fact... well as of a year or so ago they sold Tops around here. i would be willing to bet they sell Tops and maybe rooster. sometimes i go in a tobacco shop and look around. a couple months ago i was hoping to find some nasal snuff that was "non-american". I cant say for sure what all they had but they did have a bunch of that sort but nothing i was looking for. i just never got the hang of tops, etc. I will look the next time and remember.

We have Sweetbay down here, but closest one is in Englewood or deep into Punta Gorda...I'll try hitting up Winn Dixie or I'll make a trip out to Sweetbay...of course, I have Snus coming today

And I tried out the dip...wooooo-weeee good.

Not southern born (New Hampsha guy) but I always find more dip then anything else. Snus is pretty available at Circle K but they only have General Mint, Original, and Wintergreen which drive me crazy after a while. Especially the original.
