....and so the journey goes on.
I got some Fribourg & Treyer Old Paris and Dr J R Justice a couple of weeks ago. The Old Paris was something pretty special, both snuffs were the easiest snuffs to take I've ever had and both have a quality which is far superior to any other snuff - and I don't think that's just an opinion. Unfortunately I've got quite a bit of the standard WoS stuff which is annoying me because it dries out way too quickly.....so I'm discovering that I really dislike dry dusty snuffs and that the oils that are used for aroma are extremely important...they also add to the moisture value.
So I've bought some more Old Paris as I'm going through it very quickly. I've also bought some Macouba, Princes and Morocco. I'm very interested and optimistic in how these are going to turn out. Hopefully they'll be with me by Saturday.

Skell? Im really liking the grind and aroma of Old Paris. Its an incredible snuff. Ive never gone through a snuff as quickly as this or enjoyed one as much. It is similar to a schmalzler but what I found with the Bernards were that they were way too coarse.
Can you recommend a Schmalzler that is a similar grind to OP?

So, theoretically.....I could get a snuff grinder and do it myself? i.e. grind the schmalzlers

Originally posted by lxskllrSchmaltzers tend to be clumpy. Grind them up, and they'll stick together again. If you haven't already. give Sternecker a try. They're a bit heavy, but less moist than Bernard. It doesn't feel as heavy in the nose.
Thanks - good advice as to why. I'll have a look around.

Yep - F & T Princes passes the test. It requires a harsher insufflation to get the effect. Very good snuff. Good balance of tobacco and ever so slightly floral aromas. Top notch. A bit of front drip though. Fribourg and Treyer seem to be 'win' with me.
Still deciding on Macouba and Morocco.
