Never tried Snuff. Gonna make my first order.

    Hi guys.

I've never tried nasal snuff, I've never seen someone using it or even selling it.
The same thing happened to me with snus more than a year ago, I took a shot and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made.

So, nasal snuff made me curious and after some reading of the reviews here on snuson, I've made a selection of some of them based on those reviews for my first order. I'm thinking of getting about 5 cans, so what do you guys think I should try first:

Toque - Berwick Brown; Original; Spanish Gem; Quit; Menthol

Wilsons of Sharrow - Irish High Toast nº 22; Best SP

Fribourg and Treyer - High Dry Toast

    McChrystal's - Original and Genuine

    Molens - Gingerbread

Of course that other suggestions are welcome. Just one more question: I've read a lot about sp's. What are you refering to?

    Thanks friends.

That list looks good to me, you will love Spanish Gem, #22 and F&T HDT

Samuel Gawith Irish D Light is a nice one. However, you'd best watch the toasts as they're a bit sneezy at first

An S.P. is a medium natural snuff, nobody really knows what S.P. stands for. Could be Sheffield Pride but the consensus now is that it means Spanish, I’m really not sure mate.

I would recommend Toque Chocolate (very easy-to-take beginner snuff with minimal burn), Spanish Gem (harder to take but great aroma), Wow! Coffee Bite, Toque Coke (just tried it now for the first time - it's awesome!). The Toque Quit is great but hard to take as it is so fine. A technique that works with that snuff is taking a deep breath, and then you sniff it when you possibly can't put any more air in your lungs. That makes it not go straight to your sinuses and throat, but stay right in the nose.

I got my second order today, which consisted of:

      Toque Vanilla
      Toque Coke
      Toque Whiskey & Honey
      Toque Quit
      Toque Blueberry
      Toque Lime Toast
Fribourg & Treyer High Dry Toast

Will try them all today and leave you with comments later.

Thanks! Can't take credit for it though, but thought I'd mention it since it works like a charm. I got a lot of toasts with my order now, so I will have to practice this technique a lot now probably.

Oh, and Snuts: a toast is a very fine and dry snuff, if you didn't know.

Drop the Wilson HDT. It's close enough, if not identical to the F&T. Replace it with a schmaltzer from Bernard.

                  I agree.

Also check our the Beginner's Guide to Snuff. You may find it helpful.

Also be sure to post some of your experiences with snuff on the guide as you go.............to help those who come after
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

Yes, i saw it about a year ago in a tobacco store on Rua do Barão de Forrester or when it changes into Rua de Serpa Pinto.

This link doesn't find the store as i can't find it on Google maps but it was on this side of the road and close to this building within 15 shops left or right. Good luck.

Kudos on you guys ordering the HDT, it's the ultimate :-)

It's one of the hardest to take and master but once you do the rewards are magnificent.

Ansel I can see from that link that you've passed a good time in Porto, specially at night...

I know exactly where that is. Surely I'll have a look.

In the meantime I've made an order. I was thinking about ordering from northerner but I end up ordering from Toque (I've read the beginner's guide to snuff that snusdog recommended and I saw the Toque shop). It's cheaper, I'm limited to Toque products but I decided to give it a go based in some of your recomendations.

                        All 10g tins:

                        Berwick Brown
                        Quit
                        Original
                        Spanish Gem
                        Chocolate
                        Menthol
                        Coke

                        Total: 20.14$

Can't wait to experience this exquisite type of tobacco.

                        Thanks again guys.

Late to the party it seems....

That isI a good order. Berwick Brown is probably my favorite Toque.

                          No, Spanish Gem ........

                          Wait..... Lime toast.

                          Actually it is Natural Toast.

Well, Toque has a lot of great snuffs.....

                          BLUEBERRY!

(I don't like CHEESE AND BACON!)

                          But I like the rest!
