    Bernard Civette

I've been digging the snuff today, and have been pulling out snuffs I haven't had in awhile. I forgot how much I like this. I still have the older glass bottle instead of the crappy tap box, so it's held up perfectly. I've read the scent described as smoked ham, and I think I'd agree with that. Dark and smokey with a bit of leatheriness. It's a great cooler weather snuff. I don't see Civette mentioned much, but you all should give it a try. It's a first rate snuff, made by my favorite maker.

What is the grind like on that? Is it a schmaltzer?

The descriptions I have seen are vague to say the least.

It's not really like a schmaltzer; not like Bernard's anyway. It's medium weight, and kind of fluffy and dry. Maybe like a schmaltzer sans oil

The grind is rather fine, not at all like a schmaltzler. lxskllr's description is spot on. Civette is an excellent snuff. I got one of the glass bottles in a trade, and considered myself very lucky to acquire it.
